Error 90006 and lot's of delay.

Ever since I started FFXIV weeks ago I haven't had any technical problems, until the last 2 days where i reached the end of Stormblood and have had a massive delay/lag: npc's take more than 3 seconds to respond, trouble with activating skills and everything stops mid dungeon for more than 20 seconds and then I crash. It seems none of my company members or friends have been having the same issue but me.

My pc specs fit the requirements, I've tried re-opening the game as administrator and turned off my antivirus. My internet has not been a problem either.
Not enterily sure if it has to do with the game running on Steam or not...

    Light Server: Twintania

    my specs:
    operating system: Windows 10 Pro
    processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz
    memory: 16,0 GB
    video: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070

Would love some help and/or advice on how to fix this, thank you!

Decided to check out other people's threads and i believe it's an issue of rubberbanding with the EU servers.
This is becoming a severe problem as I can't play in any dungeons without crashing once for 5 days in a row, it's extremely irritating and I do not wish to transfer to NA as I want to stay with my current company...
    Someone please look into this

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

hyuchi, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Unfortunately, the FINAL FANTASY XIV launcher does not use Microsoft Edge so, changing the settings there would not affect anything. However, even Windows 10 computers should still come with Internet Explorer installed. Currently the FINAL FANTASY XIV launcher still uses Internet Explorer for the browser window.

Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy Technical Support Forums.

I've been having rubberbanding issues since last month, and we're definitely not alone. I decided to bite the bullet and use Mudfish and I'm still experiencing packet loss and intermittent connection issues.

Here's what my initial efforts reveal - in this article from 2017:

"Some Stormblood players have experienced frustrating problems in the form of error codes 90006 and 90002, usually ending up in disconnections from the Gaia data center.

Square Enix has announced the cause for both of these frustrating error messages. They're displayed when players log into the Gaia data center, as the official Square Enix blog states, and the company originally took "tentative measures" to address the issue.

As of June 17, Square Enix states it has monitored the situation and has found that these errors have been improving, slowly but surely, but the situation is still going to be monitored going forward."

    (ref link: https://www.mic.com/articles/180220/...r-lost-problem)

Perhaps someone in the development or QA teams should revisit that item and see if whatever was causing it then has somehow been reintroduced?

I ask because this is precisely the behavior I'm seeing since roughly Monday and I have no way to try reproducing it as I cannot determine why it's happening.

    edit to add:

Personally, it 'feels' like they're pegging load balancer caps. Perhaps due to new accounts? Or some kind of DDoS happening. More likely the former than the latter, honestly.

I'm also having 90006 errors as of today. However, I wonder if this coincides with the Windows updates that I just installed earlier. Have been playing for months without issue so something seems to have changed. Apparently it's a pretty widespread issue so unless there's been some updates/changes pushed out to many users (like something in the recent Windows update), client-side changes might be moot.

Ridiculous amounts of lag in all instance and other areas of the game since last night. We almost could not finish our roulettes. I'm on Crystal/Zalera
