House sharing resale

I read about people having the issue of sharing the house with someone, but that the owner no longer came online for years. If someone doesn't resub in over 45 days they know that they usualy lose their house, so if the owner doesn't log in for over 365 days then I think its only fair SE implements an option that allows one of the people who the house is shared with, to buy the ownership of the house. Please implement!

well someone claimed he/she was still living in that house but that the owner had not logged in for 2 years. I find this story odd too cuss normally the timer only applies to the owner itself (or at least that is what I thought). But I suppose he/she wouldn't have made that post if it wasn't true.

No, if you share ownership with someone else the house will only be gone if BOTH fail to enter it in 45 days. It's enough if one of the residents keeps visiting the house.

In that case I think its only fair they give the co owners a chance to purchase the house for themselves after an extended period of time has depleted. I would say... 6 months.

Sorry, but that is incorrect.

If it's a personal house, it's only owned by one person, there is no true shared ownership. Although you can add 3 other people to the house and give them full permissions, only the actual owner of the house can reset the timer by entering the house. If the owner doesn't enter the house at least once every 45 days it will get demolished, regardless of how much the other 3 people used it.

If it's an FC house, any member of the FC entering the house will reset the timer which might be what you are thinking of.

It's 45 days, if the owner does not step foot inside the actual house, then it gets demolished.

This literally happened to me. My boyfriend has taken up playing other MMO's but was the owner of the house. I logged in every day & still do, and went inside our house- I decorated it entirely, it was my gil and resources and time that went into make such a beauty but just last night I was given the notification that I had been removed from the house due to it being demolished- I checked to see the last time my BF had logged in & it was only 7 days prior to the demolishing, but he never stepped actual foot inside the house or on the plot over the passed 45 days.
There should certainly be a system that when a situation arises and the original owner is unable or unwilling to log in, the deed then passes down (with some kind of fee) to the other people who've been granted permission to share the house/ decorate it.

No the owner of the house has to enter it. It has nothing to do with a tenant. Tenants do not keep houses from being domolished.

Sadly, this would just allow people to bypass the system and buy houses from each other. All someone has to do is negotiate a price, once done, make someone a tenant and then just don't come back to the house. That person could even buy a house from someone else, become a tenant there and once the 45 days run out, both people have new houses that never hit the market.

I figure that's why SE doesn't allow it. The current way the house goes back into the pool for everyone to have a chance at.
