    Automated Workshop

It gets annoying having to resend the ships every day. I often forget to send them because I don't have enough time to do all my daily tasks.

Having said that I think it would be beneficial to everyone if they gave the airship/sub menu its seperate vault and give the ship an autosend function, meaning the ship will repeat its target and keep dumping its profits in that vault. To maintain its functionality, a person should just park fuel & repair kits in that inventory so the ship will automatically make use of them & repeat its process for as long as they don't run out of fuel, repair kits or inventory space. That way one can collect profits once a week/month instead of every day without the use of having to do all that manually every day.

Automation would completely remove what little game play value the content already has. SE might as well just hand you a million gil each week.

with the way the inventory system is in this game - you can't just have a "vault" where items can be added ad infinitum. there are tech/coding limits that cannot be worked around easily. (hence why we don't have a crafting vault, or a tackle box or an increase to our personal inventories, etc).

Excuse me? SE has tons of play value and I doubt the entire game would be unbalanced by someone being able to qeue tasks instead of doing it manually.
Maybe SE should listen to your advice and delete the quick craft option while they are at it. Wouldn't want anyone to get rich while doing nothing would we...
Afterall, from what you just said… your opinion is prolly that people with a job & families who lack the time to enjoy the game to it's fullest, should prolly not even be playing this game since you did somewhat make it sound like I'm asking too much.
While all I'm really doing is asking for options for the less fortunate (in terms of free time) people to still enjoy the more important/demanding aspects of the game. I don't believe anyone should be forced to concentrate on content that they don't like to do.

I think this is why SE decided to add the quick craft option in the first place since people want to earn money without being forced to do what they hate doing. I wouldn't mind them adding upon that idea even more since its pretty pointless to follow up on something that rarely ever brings back items of worth. People say airships & subs bring back good stuff but in the many years I've operated them… I'm still waiting for that good drop everyone "still" refers to. Maybe I'm just VERY unlucky… THAT or they are all full of it.

Not an infinite vault, just 1 vault tab like an inventory tab. "OR" just hand over the all the belongings it collected the next time you adress it. I would love "forgetting" about the ships while not being punished cuss of that by still getting the rewards.
And they are not soo impressive that it will translate into 1 mil gil a week as Jojoya just put it... usually for me its just something near 200k.

I was referring to the game play value of airships and submersibles, not the game in general. Get a grip.

When players are using quick synth, they're crafting dozens or hundreds of items at a time. Things that would a few hours to complete.

Airships and submersibles take maybe 10 minutes of time every other day. You collect what they found and send them back out. You sort out what to keep, what to sell on the MB and what to vendor. That's it. There's nothing else to do unless you want to upgrade your vessels and that's not something SE is going to automate for you.

"Jobs and families" is a tired excuse that needs to go away. It comes from lazy people who want others handing things to them and who are jealous of what others earn through planning and effort. I've played MMOs with people who worked 60+ hours a week and still managed to take their kids to/from school, attend their events, go out for drinks with their family and friends - and still raid 10 hours a week. They knew how to manage their time and made sure they had time for the things they wanted to do.

If you're finding 10 minutes every other day to check airships and subs stressful, then don't do it. Leave the content to others who have that 10 minutes.

If you hate doing an optional activity, then DON'T DO IT. It's a simple lesson most people have learned by the time they become adults. There are other ways to earn gil in this game.

Or maybe they've learned how the system works and put in the needed effort to have the best possible chance of getting the good drops but you haven't? If you've been doing this for years without seeing any of the good drops, then it sounds like you haven't been upgrading your vessel to get the required surveillance.

There are threads in the Items, Gathering and Synthesis forums dedicated to airships and submersibles with tons of helpful information. Try reading them.

The good drops are also very random. I may not see something for 2 months then suddenly I'll get 3 in a row. It takes patience and tolerance for RNG.
