Some mounts rarely drop. I have met a lot of people that did a boss 80+ times and still didn't get a mount. So instead of having them waste several evenings they could have enjoyed themselves with, I think it would be in everyone's best interest to allow them to receive or buy the mounts from someone else so people get what they want and they can spend their time on something more enjoyable (instead of "hoping" to get rewarded). It's a win-win situation since this option does not realy unbalance the game itself and people could even make a business from selling them (good for in game economy since more ways to make gil, leaves more room for profits on those who prefer to concentrate on crafting or selling materials and get less competition).

I would purpose a nerf to the totem amount instead, otherwise you'd have people just buy the mounts outright and not even touch the content. Instead of 99 totems, I'd say 50-60 would be fine.

They can't ignore the content since its a requirement to finish it through the main story quest to advance. Most people go through trial roulette anyway for the extra xp so there will Always be someone doing old content.
Face it, for the most part, mountfarm groups are usually FC members or close friends. There rarely is someone that sais "im going to join party finder to mountfarm". It does happen, but far less often then fixed parties.
Nerfing could help, but it doesn't help people like myself who love to collect minions and mounts but simply do not have the time. And I'm not about to sub 10 years just to collect them. The reason why I'm still here is because I love my friends & community.
You shouldn't have to be forced to do a dungeon soo many times for a simple mount that has the same effects as all other mounts (just a cosmetic change). It's simply not worth the effort. I would love to buy mounts from other people to save me time so I can concentrate on other things that I also love to do besides my hobby of collecting them.

It's not a requirement to finish any of the savages, also I don't believe it's required to do the extreme's either for the main Story. I see a decent amount of parties up for mount farm in PF that are usually pug groups. People still do Alphascape V.4 for the mount. I can see why you would want this due to not having the time to farm them but there has to be some sort of time gate for mounts to keep people playing and trying to get it. Every MMO has a grind in it, some of them are worse than this. If you think about it, 50 totems. You can easily run like 5 times within an hour in a good group. 10 days would get you the mount if you only had 1 hour a day to spend.

Still, I see nothing wrong with providing free will on gathering it yourself "for free" or "paying a lot of money for it". I think people should at least have that choice since not everyone loves to repeat the same process over and over.
MMO's are supposed to be fun, not boring. I believe this is what sets SE apart from the competition. I hate MMO's.. none have ever kept me interested longer then 2 months and yet here I am now almost 5 years later, trying to help SE keep this place great.

See it this way, I doubt most savage players go in to collect mounts… they mainly go in for the gear & to have fun. But not everyone is good enough to actually finish it. I don't think its a good thing to do to use mounts as "status" (a way of saying you are better).
I think the gear does a pretty good job at that by itself. And besides, if you could buy a mount from savage, I doubt it would be affordable to anyone anyway… but at least they'd have the option

70 titania but at at least i could get the missing weapons and use em up, 100 hades, after i bought 5 weapons and 103 innocence as well, was helping a friend gettin a kill xD

its just frustrating, they tell us my 100 kills are less worht then - for example - my fc mates luck on gettin the hades dragon on first kill >_>
