Lots more disconnects. Seems to me this started when the free trial began and lots of returners started logging on in droves. Happened at the exact same time yesterday too.
Anyways, ran a path ping and getting 100% packet loss at node xe-0-1-0-1-1.r00.scrmca02.us.ce.gin.ntt.net AGAIN...
SQUARE PLEASE CHANGE YOUR ISP!!!
I don't think its SE isp. NTT is one of the backbones that connect ISP to ISPs I believe. I do think they're like level 3 Communications, but as someone mention, we have way way more internet traffic now so it's going to be expected.
Either since free trial (04/14) or DDoS attack on NA servers I've been getting huge packet loss. It is unplayable.

I'm gonna necro this and just leave a little update here: Tracing route to 204.2.229.9 over a maximum of 30 hops

Hello,
I'm having big, big lags too on Louisoix (EU) since 4-5 days. Is someone in the same case ?
What middle finger from ntt? That's normal ping from Atlanta to Sacramento.I'm gonna necro this and just leave a little update here: Tracing route to 204.2.229.9 over a maximum of 30 hops

The concerning number is the 152ms ping from your router to your modem, or from your modem to your isp.
Whoever advised Square-Enix to move their servers to california did a really bad job. This country has some of the worst internet infrastructure when it comes to "developed" countries.
Going from the northeast to california is going to cause a huge amount of delays when you consider the "gateways" involved. I know they probably did this for easier access to the servers but they need to find a better routing solution, this is unacceptable for a paid service.
Furthermore, we can't solely put this on Square enix though, instead of spending almost $1 trillion on "military" this government could be spending even half of that to modernize the broadband infrastructure of this country.
Dude, I've been running so many traceroutes in the past hour I didn't even notice lol. But do the asterisks not also point to an issue? Apologies in advance, I'm not very versed in networking. But is it not both? I'm only getting 90ks during peak hours, 2am - 10am is fine.
(Don't judge me)
