Because we've always been randomised in RW, but we could always play on the same GC in FLs. It's a drastic change.

GC matchmaking made matches one-sided. It gave newcomers a bad first impression of PvP in general.

People complain that the PvP playerbase is so small all the time. It’s not really inviting for new players when the most active mode doesn’t have a fair matchmaking system.
