I'm... a little disappointed in how they handle the gear reward system. I was able to obtain the Egg head pieces from last year even though I was never here. I missed the mark by a few months. I think you should only be able to get gear from the years you were at the event. It is a subtle and unimportant way to date how long a player has been active. The gear tells you how old the character is without him being able to lord over you with some epic lewt.
