4 days of login crashes

My game closed during a loading screen from Kugane to the Prima Vista deck about 4 days ago. I tried to log in again and it allows me to log into the character, but I get the same loading screen, the location music cuts and it before it crashes again.

I'm able to log into my other character on a different data center with no issue.

I contacted support and they gave me a template response and that this was a known error that happened during connection issues and that I simply need to wait for my character to be recognised as logged out of the server. I didn't mind waiting, but it's been about 4 days now and considering most other people with this issue had it resolved anywhere between a couple of hours to 1-2 days and the notices on the startup launcher that these login issues should be "resolved", I'm starting to get both annoyed and worried there might be something else going on. When I contacted support again through my ticket they told me to "just keep waiting" so now I'm here.

I reinstalled the game yesterday but that hasn't seemed to solve anything. Are there any other suggestions people have on what to do? I want this character back without having to do something like a world transfer considering it was the one I started with and I have a lot of sentimental items and an FC house I'm in charge of.

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

Your graphics drivers look a little out of date, could you update them to a more recent version? Additionally, please try disabling any background programs and overlays when running Final Fantasy XIV. Have you tried reinstalling the game on the C drive?

disabled the steam overlay and updated my driver and it seems to be loading a bit longer before I get the same "unexpected error" report. still, this is the closest i've come to any progress whatsoever so thank you.

going to try reinstalling on the C drive and edit this if anything comes of it.

Edit: Reinstalling to the C drive seems to have solved the problem! thank you.
