I did read *this notice* but don't get what it is about.
Afaik the price on the board is high enough to let me stack them instead of selling, cannot understand why someone will sell to NPC something worth 30-50k on the board.

Yep, that's exactly what I was saying before and I really can't understand this change.
Probably because they're gonna make them useless with the upcoming patch. Why else would Yoshi suggest players hoarding them to sell them before it goes live?
So while they're selling at 30-50k right now, they might not be worth more than the vendor price in just over a week.

So there's going to be an modification to the crafting system, such that crafters will no longer need these as recipe components?
Why just Fieldcraft and not also Battlecraft, tho? Or/also Mastercraft?
Must be a change that makes them irrelevant and the vendor price change is in anticipation of players mass-selling them and pushing a large sum of raw gil into the economy.
Shame in one way, Fieldcraft I's were actually a great earner I'd recommend to very new players via Goldsmith desynthing Brass Ring of Crafting. But it'll be interesting to see what they're planning.
I wonder in this update we can buy them from a vendor then. But could be wrong.
for a year, would you rather be secretly filmed at random moments and have the footage uploaded to your social media or loose $100 when ever you said a curse word?
No one here watched the live letter, I guess? He said bots are taking advantage of the vendor price of FC materia, so if you plan to vendor any, do so before the patch changes their prices.
He never said vendoring was a great idea (it's a terrible idea as stated here), he just wanted to ensure those who DO have terrible plans aren't inconvenienced by an anti-bot measure.
If I had to guess, the bots using this method to make gil are running trial accounts and/or are aware of the consequences of a flooded market.
I watched it, but I don't recall the bots part in what got translated and I don't really understand Japanese myself.
None of the live letter translations I saw mentioned bots as an explanation. All that got mentioned was a warning that prices were going to be getting adjusted. No one here watched the live letter, I guess? I can see bots getting demimateria through desynthesis as a problem, though. I know I've gotten quite a bit casually leveling up desynthesis on my alts.
As for why Fieldcraft and not Battlecraft, Battlecraft sell to vendor prices are already 60/300/500. This brings Fieldcraft in line with them.
