That hasn't been my experience. Sure there's been a few newbies (which is good! We need more PvPers), but I've still been winning most of my matches, and recently got the 100 rival wings and Hidden Gorge mount. Are you doing callouts? Simple stuff like calling out the train and any enemy oppressors that spawn
On our server no one cares about hidden george even with the moggle event. Waiting times of an half hour or more are normal. Everyone who wants moggle stones just does pve stuff and our pvp players are doing frontlines.
tbh i think some people are just that bad it seems like it
Knew this post was coming. Honestly I don't believe that people are purposely losing and throwing matches because from what I've seen in every match I've played people are at least TRYING to win. I think what's really happening is that people who don't normally do or haven't done hidden gorge before are queing it now because of the event and are completely lost and don't WHAT to do. I know I was one of them. After doing a few I understood it and enjoyed it.
Yea I agreeits mor elike more people queueing and are lost. Ive done about 20 matches and had never done HG prior to the event. I just kill people, mammets and jump in mechs when I can.
Got something like 16wins in 20 games so far. Howveer, Still don't know what the tanks are for or how to get in one. Still don't know what the trains do. Still don't know wht mercenaries are for or how to get one. HG does seem o have a lot more to it than just go in and kill bu that also works too. I've quite enjoyed it. Trouble is I know it''ll go back to hr long queues once the even ends unless they incorporate HG into a PVP roulette instead of just frontlines/Azim Steppe Challenge. Same to be said for Feast.
Tanks and mercenaries just push lanes and are AI-controlled- you get tanks on your side by controlling the middle tower train depot when it comes up with one on it as the available bonus, and you get mercenaries by being the team that deals the most damage to it when it pops in the north/south base. They feel kinda inconsequential unless you use them as part of a big push?
As for the trains, they run from one side of the map to the middle as one of the bonuses spawns, then out the other side as a team claims it. It instant kills anything it runs over, so you have to be careful about it
Oh. I see. I normally just run the outer sides killing towers/players/mammets but thanks for clarifyingTanks and mercenaries just push lanes and are AI-controlled- you get tanks on your side by controlling the middle tower train depot when it comes up with one on it as the available bonus, and you get mercenaries by being the team that deals the most damage to it when it pops in the north/south base. Yeah I've had huge success doing the same, committing to an initial push to kill mammets for CE until my team can deploy a mech, then if the situation's open enough on either lane just hop in an oppressor and start boppin'. You definitely gotta be able to flex a little bit though, and I can appreciate a mode that has so much going on that you gotta play triage a bit with where your team's focused at?
The goblin tanks and goblin mercenary can be deadly in an organized puch, meaning you have a good mixture of DPS/Tanks and healers. Like the mammets, the goblin tank and goblin mercenary can be healed but that they only receive 50% of what regular players get.
