    As soon as I got to Ishgard, DRK became my main. After SB dropped and I maxed him out, I hopped around on other classes just for funsies. When i hopped back on him, i never realized how much slower paced he is compared to some of the other classes. Thats what I think I miss most about him pre-5.0. GNB is a blast just because it feels like you're non-stop in the battle, but it feels like on my DRK im just rolling the same 3 actions (with an occasional TBN for tank busters) for two minutes on end just to be able to use 1-2 different abilities. Of course thats a bit of a hyperbole, and when i get back in a groove with him, I remember my flow, but still. Just my 2 cents. So yea TC, good thoughts.

    Bring back the MP/Blood feedback.

    Quietus -> Restores some amount of MP per enemy hit
    Flood of Darkness -> Gains some amount of Blood per enemy hit

    Turn Darkside into a Pseudo Resource

    Darkside as a Duration Buff, where the duration is taxed when additional effects are added. Base duration of 1 / 1.

    Salted Earth turned into a toggle-able AoE Damage aura. Increases Darkside's rate of depletion.
    One or two new abilities focus around this concept.

    Maybe: Situational deterrent for hitting 0 Darkside. AoE explosion + X duration of Pacify, as example.

    New Charge Sub-type

    For Actions that can be used even at 0 charge but gain a specific benefit when a charge is available.

    Abyssal Drain: Gains a charge every X seconds. (30, 45, 60, whatever). When a charge is available, Abyssal Drain's MP cost is reduced to 0.
    Abyssal Drain is now a Darkside skill.

    Active Defense and Retaliation

    Dark Mind evolves into Dark Missionary.

    Dark Missionary's "button economy" relegated to a GCD cooldown, reducing incoming damage for a short duration and delivering a PBAOE weaponskill counter attack, ramping up as more hits are taken during this duration.

    I'm not sure resource exchange for its own sake will be worth anything, but

    Hell yeah. Would love to see that.

    Same with the Active Defense and Retaliation bit. When I first heard the name and saw the animation for Shadow Wall, that's pretty much what I imagined -- a channeled shield that converts damage absorbed into temporary MP to spend as quickly as possible (since it'd fade quickly otherwise) after defending with Shadow Wall, where you actually hold that shadow wall animation up for it, and the skill pushes back its cooldown by a flat amount immediately and then some amount per second of use.

    I'd wish Darkside and Living Shadow got expanded upon a bit. It feels like there was supposed to be something there that was taken out before release. There's a new job gauge with both of those timers on it even though Darkside barely needs a timer and having a timer for Fray is pointless. It's like there was some planned interaction between the two and I hope whatever it was, we'd get that in 6.0 because at least for me DRK is a "resource management" tank and I'd like to see that side expanded especially since it looks like something like that might've been in the works but just got canceled.

    Regardless of the above, I think something we should get (and could get in a patch right now) is the ability to sic Fray to make him switch targets. MCH Queen has the same problem. Make the summon button a sic button while they're out or add another separate button for it. Kind of minor but quite annoying when you'd actually want to have them switch targets.

    Delirium seems like an afterthought and is one of the few things I dislike. I just don't feel like adding another "press the same button 5 times" burst on the one old tank that didn't already have that is a very imaginative or good idea. There has got to be a more interesting burst design out there. I'll deal with Delirium for ShB because while it's dull it's at least not clunky but I really hope for a redesigned burst come 6.0.

    Living dead.. yeah. Every patch I'm waiting for a change and I truly hope we don't have to wait until 6.0 for it. It's especially jarring when WAR Holmgang keeps getting fiddled with. Needing a target and locking you in place is clunky? Let's take that away. Oh you can't take 3 Titania tethers or all 3 Titan stonecrusher hits with a single button like other tanks? Here's a couple of extra seconds for you. I'm glad for Warriors getting that but our invulnerability still KILLS US. I honestly can't believe were still dealing with this.

    My only wish is if they make our shadow clone follow us, attack same target and copy all our skills and gave to us all the benefits for using those skills like double heal or double MP/blood gauge.

    I wished for it before release, would make DRK so much deeper and fun.

    How would we differ it from Bunshin?

    I'm not saying the similarities to Bunshin would preclude the possibility of such a version of Living Shadow, but is there anything more we can do to give the change its full bite?

    I feel that to. Maybe we could've been able to extend Fray's duration after each shadow skill or something, but they decided that it was a bit OP. I'm just hoping they expand on it in 6.0 instead of removing it. Yea it's just a literal flashy DoT, but it's OUR flashy DoT.

    I been trying to figure out how we could have a 2nd combo again. Soul Eater has a lot of practical use while MTing because of the lifesteal so why wouldn't we focus on using it? (even though I'm legit tired of syphon strike and soul eater's animations) Honestly I just wish the job would gain some oGCDs again or just shorten the cd on CnS or give abyssal drain 2 charges. I do like spamming EoS and FoS instead of dark arts, as ironic as it sounds.
