Also Ixion in FFX was found in the Thunder Plains and Eden Ramuh's arena looks like the Thunder Plains. It even has the towers.

any1 else think the bozja citadel zone that comes later will just be a eureka type zone except instead of monsters it will be garleans we be dispossing of to free the place?
They were fighting Garleans in that trippy-looking instance with the weird, floating geometry, so we're definitely getting something.
I expect it to be a bit more player friendly this time around for players who need to just progress on their own pace even after the content gets old.
If I remember right didn't the developers say this time it will be a bit more friendly for players who wish to solo progress in the Citadel's storyline but the group progress method will still be faster.
There is no "Eureka-like" zone in the relic quest this patch. The earliest we could get such a zone is 3.5. And even then, the devs did say they wanted to make the relic quest be more split from the exploration content.
The relic quest this patch sounds a lot like the first relic quest from ARR. Where it was primarily quest based and even included it's own Extreme difficulty trial to do.
I hope Garuda and Ifrit fuse in their fight.

Rhalgr, too! His head/face looks almost exactly like the statue's at Rhalgr's Reach. It's pretty natural that the WoL might combine Rhalgr and Ramuh, given they are both thunder gods. There's also an ongoing theory that the Sylph's Primal is based on a distorted memory of Rhalgr.
It also explains how the WoL could have possibly neglected Ramuh's magnificent beard. Honestly, the new Primal could have been ALL beard, and no one would have faulted the WoL for it!
