    The starshower awakening is only part of it. Hearing Hydaelyn is the part that protects you from tempering. Hydaelyn didn’t exist yet so they had nothing to protect them from Zodiark.

    We don't know that, as Zodiark may have given it after the fact. We don't know if it was Hydaelyn or Zodiark's involvement - it could have been the WoL for all we know
