    Some random observations:

    - Granson (the Hume from the tank role quests) is present in the trailer.
    - Garlean airships can be seen in what appears to be the upper levels of Goug, suggesting a followup to the Gabranth plot thread.
    - Ryne is present alongside Cid on what appears to be the Source.
    - The imagery of Hydaelyn looks to be rather creepy and sinister!

    Yes, more Ivalice related content... go to Dalmasca...

    When I saw the characters trapped in the First in the same scene as with Cid I thought they are able to get back already to the source and that they are preparing to go to the next 8-man trial via the Trust system... and then I thought the developers will probably not do that...

    I'm expecting that the Scions (plus Ryne) will be able to return (or visit, in Ryne's case) to the Source by the end of the MSQ, because that would be a possible explanation for why MSQ progression is required for the last fight of Eden's Verse. Ryne, Thancred, and Urianger are heavily involved in that, so having them acknowledge their new ability to go back to the Source is reasonable, as opposed to having a mini-time bubble just for that segment.

    Having said that, I do wonder if this ability to go back to the Source is only temporary. That bit in the trailer with the Scions Plus Ryne popping into existence to protect Cid is a little odd, if the Scions were already physically present on the Source.

    Not sure if its Source related or not. The main reason for that is probably Ryne, Thancred, and Urianger's involvement in the MSQ and them being "stumped' by something, until a revelation from the MSQ events. There are two big indicators s for this. One being that Yoshi-P stated the dungeon was later in the quest line. And two being that at least Urianger and Ryne are available as trusts for the dungeon, as they are both seen in the trailer.

    Considering it's said in the trailer that the ancient people of Amaurot were able to store concepts, it may not actually be the real them we're summoning there. We'll have them returned to the Source yes, but we could also be summoning concepts (copies) of them that we ourselves have created.

    Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in here. The pilot of ruby weapon is the raen girl and she will be like a newtype or artificial newtype from gundam, so she either has the echo or is resonant. She’s also probably from sui-no-sato in the ruby sea which is why it’s moniker is ruby weapon.

    Interesting theory. Can it be related to the other weapons too. We know one will most likely be Emerald, we just aren't sure if the last one will be Diamond or Sapphire. Granted Diamond was fought in VII, but Diamons also has a presence in FFXV. Sapphire however, fits in well with Ruby and Emerald, and fits with the whole earth, air, and sea motif; Emerald being more aerial in appearance. But can we relate emerald and sapphire to things like ruby to Ruby Sea?
