On one side is a person wielding a staff with wings and is notably black, while the other has a white face. Could this be Zodiark and Hydaelyn? I think it's just one, at least based on this when you zoom in more.

Yeah, looks like a Viera/Viis. Maybe that mural is not related to Hydaelyn at all - the party seems to be in Rak'tika there, so maybe just a depiction of how the Viis were supposed to be the Keepers of the Ronkan knowledge after the Emperor's death due to their longevity?

Or a Viis with the Echo, since everyone we know who awoke to the Echo sees the Starshower, and that mural is depicting it.

I think Ruby Weapon has the ability to copy and use abilities from other Garleans and powerful entities just like the Ultima Weapon did with the 3 Primals back at the Praetorium.

I wouldn't be surprised if the future Jewelry Weapons also share the copy abilities and recycle them into more fearsome mechanic combos.

I didn't expect to be more excited for the relic questline than for the MSQ, but with the news of Gabranth being the enemy and a story requiring the Ivalice raids first, here I am practically bouncing in my seat. Holy crap I'm excited!

Although, not to sound like a broken record, but seeing Zenos in Amaurot sure puts a damper on my mood.
