The interviews here are also well worth reading, with the Discord link covering the translations in greater depth. I'm very intrigued to see how this is going to shape up, with Elidibus's symbol on the background crystal/the crystal itself apparently having significance for 5.3, and his Emissary role being handled as a "mediator". The crystal looks dark-aspected on top (whilst also depicting Dalamud) and light-aspected from below (maybe the full image would show something to do with the starstorm?), and he is "fluid of stance".
I'm glad to see the MSQ, Eden and Werlyt stuff will all be tied together, and I'm very eager to see where they take Elidibus and how they handle Gaius.
Also, I'm still not sure what the context behind the mosaic we saw is, but having taken another look at her, it is very consistent with the High Seraph. I forgot all about the little insect legs. There's a difference in how the two figures are positioned/interacting, but overall the resemblance is strong.
She was a figure I wanted to learn more about, so if this is all correct, I'm curious to see what more might be revealed about her, especially seeing as the Ivalice quest line will tie into the 5.25 relic stuff.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
The Nier raid is getting a few quests to advance the story surrounding it, which is intriguing. So far pretty much everything about the patch looks pretty good and we'll be seeing a lot more story advancement across the board.
This patch does seem absolutely packed with story content, between Eden having a surprising amount of quests on the patch notes, Nier getting quests even without a new raid, Yoshida warning "if you plan to do the MSQ first thing probably don't plan on doing anything else the first day", Ruby Weapon assuredly being tied to the MSQ, and Bozja's introduction being called long and dense in that interview, even if that last one is something we won't see for a couple weeks still.
Wait a minute....
We're getting the next part of the Neir raid storyline already?!
Guess we will have a Raid every odd number patch and just story quest for the even number patch.
I agree that it is a refreshing change of pace... and also something the Return to Ivalice raid series would have benefited from as well.
At least it's sort of getting a sequel now. Sadly we'll have to wait a bit for it. :x
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
Yeah, Yoshida saying that if we want to get all those juicy lore bits from the MSQ then GL on getting anything else new in the game done is very intriguing. This makes me wonder if there's going to be a lot of those make sure you have ample time to sit and watch a CS warnings. Or it could be that there's so many lore bombs big and small that we're going to have to just sit there and try and process it all real slowly to the point it takes all day. It makes you wonder how much of the MSQ they kept out of the trailer because they didn't want our jaws dropping and staying there til patch day only to have them drop again once we're through the msq while our brains just explode with all of the wait excuse me what just happened and how did they just up the bar on what to expect next in the story.
Yes, more Ivalice related content... go to Dalmasca...
When I saw the characters trapped in the First in the same scene as with Cid I thought they are able to get back already to the source and that they are preparing to go to the next 8-man trial via the Trust system... and then I thought the developers will probably not do that...
