Cloud Gaming | Any Plans to Support FFXIV on Cloud Platforms?

I don't know if the Devs can respond to this, but it would be great to have some more support for FFXIV on Cloud Platforms. The game runs great on Shadow PC, but now with the launch of Geforce Now, with the meme-worthy Stadia, with Xcloud on the horizon, with whatever Playstation and Xbox have teamed up on (guessing an upgrade to Playstation now), and with whatever Amazon is rumored to have in the works.

Seems like there is a lot of opportunities for FFXIV to expand beyond simple PC and Console. Anyway, as someone who enjoys the speed and accessibility of cloud gaming, it would be great to have access to FFXIV more.

Perhaps in Japan it might be viable or in the EU, but in the United States the infrastructure for the internet is garbage outside the major metropolitan areas. I don't see cloud gaming going main stream any time soon over here.

Why not? It's not the same thing say a Nintendo Switch release where hardware limitations might be a concern. Cloud gaming is the games are being run on full PCs and input and video are streamed. Pretty much the same thing as is you were to have the game running from home and streaming it to your phone with Steam Link. It's what I do sometimes and other than a lack of a physical keyboard, works well enough as long as you got a good controller and pretty decent WiFi or cellular connection. Only ass about 100 ms delay overall, and with that, I've been able to do dungeons. Wouldn't do savage or ultimate with it but thats about it.

Cloud gaming.....look at how PS Now and Google Stadia are doing...not so good.

I own the Nvidia Shield TV microconsole. I bought it because it has the Android OS, which is very open, but also has good hardware on-par with maybe a last-generation console. It's perfect for running little Unity demos of my own games on the living room TV.

However, I also tried to use Gamestream with it. It was a complete nightmare. If using ethernet within a lan is not enough to prevent frame drops, delays, and on-the-fly quality loss, then I'm not sure I want anything to do with "cloud" anything.

It's easier to just buy a PC or PS4, to be honest.
