Playing FFXIV on GeForce Now Cloud (PC/Steam Question)

With the introduction of GeForce now, you have the ability to play Steam games (and Battlenet + Origin) from Nvidia's cloud platform on PC, Mac, and Android.

With that being said, I don't own FFXIV on steam. I own it on PC and with a trip out of state coming up I'm wondering if it would be worth purchasing it on Steam.

My question is this: since Steam and PC are basically the same, am I allowed to register both to the same service account like I can PC and PS4? Or because I already have FFXIV registered to my service account on PC am I barred from purchasing/playing my account through Steam?

Has anyone registered PC and Steam to the same service account to play their characters on either platform?

If you are willing to keep the home pc up and running and have an nvidia gpu, there may be another avenue for you in the moonlight game streaming software. I've used it for years to game stream games from my home pc to my laptop / android phones while away. Basically your pc becomes your cloud server. Works great with controller to boot

Oh yeah I'm aware of that but I'm kind of afraid to keep my PC on for a whole week while I'm gone xD I usually use parsec to play remotely, it works very well!

Unless you have lots of storms rolling through or you have bad Temps on your pc, you can leave the thing on for years and it won't come to any harm.

Because it doesn't hurt anything and unless you are using it under load they don't pull that much power?

I've tried shadow PC but the problem is that they assign you to a local data center and I live in Washington where the service isn't offered regardless. I used a pizza hut address in Oregon to connect to their CA servers. It was a good experience but I'll be in Michigan for a week which is on the opposite side of the US and they can't migrate your system between data centers.

Also, they're very expensive currently compared to other options.
