That hasn't been my experience. Sure there's been a few newbies (which is good! We need more PvPers), but I've still been winning most of my matches, and recently got the 100 rival wings and Hidden Gorge mount. Are you doing callouts? Simple stuff like calling out the train and any enemy oppressors that spawn
On our server no one cares about hidden george even with the moggle event. Waiting times of an half hour or more are normal. Everyone who wants moggle stones just does pve stuff and our pvp players are doing frontlines.
tbh i think some people are just that bad it seems like it
There are remarkably few in-game tools for players to really learn about PvP modes beyond simply jumping in, trial by fire. And not everybody learns very well just by reading up on it. There's little real opportunity to simply take everything in and assess to really learn what's going on. You just get dumped into the deep end.
There is also the fact that PvP in this game sucks. Like really sucks. SE has no idea what they are doing with it, so it is understandable that people don't care to learn it, or really try. There are remarkably few in-game tools for players to really learn about PvP modes beyond simply jumping in, trial by fire. Looking at the situation of the PVP in other MMORPG I can assure you that the PVP of the FFXIV is quite good.
The Wow PVP has been dead from BFA
BDO PVP requires an insane amount of time just to compete
And I can continue to give examples, the only PVP that has been good is that of GW2 or TESO.
There is a goblin in the Wolves Den Pier that explains everything, with included visuals. There are remarkably few in-game tools for players to really learn about PvP modes beyond simply jumping in, trial by fire. Very handy, I try to suggest talking to him to any new player to Rival Wings.
