Padjal, I'd like to see them playable. (Suggestion, devs?)

Greetings ffxiv,

I've been playing ffxiv for hm... about a year now or so? Not sure.
But of the races in ffxiv I seriously Love the Padjal, especially E-Sumi-Yan looks cute and awesome to me.
I'd really love to see them playable, if they become playable I'd switch over and make one in seconds, I'd make a twin of E-Sumi-Yan or much alike for sure (in looks! Not lore haha).

I tried all other races but they don't really speak to me somehow, Miqo'te has something nice but to me something is a bit off about them and I can't place what.
The one I have now is of course the main but he looks too hm... badass/slash evil/hardened? Well.. to me at least.
And so many Miqo'te feel/look the same as one another?

And it may sound odd but that 'Warrior!!!' look/persona is oddly suffocating, which has to do with my past in which I created pretty much a Godlike Warrior of a wall which pretty much lived in my stead and I got really sick of that (trust me, you don't want to lose yourself, causes all kinds of chaos.).

I just tend to gravitate to the more smaller to average size races with a more cute look and personality, I can rp those better and more lightweighted too, life can be heavy enough already, and gear often looks really nice on, to say it simply, Padjal and their size and build.
And who doesn't like becoming younger and have eternal youth? Ok, some maybe don't but I'd go for that in a split second if ever possible in real.
Like a freaking Peter Pan, but then uhm, not that evil version. :P
Now in a game at least it can be possible.
Though middleaged, no bodyhair and some nice muscle, and staying at that age could be awesome too, and hot instead of cute haha.

Now the Lalafell are definitely quite adorable (except for the belly somewhat) so I am trying to go and play that, their emotes and voices are so freakingly well done too! A huge plus for me.
And you can maybe play a tank in a fun way hehe. (If I dare tank, in WoW I did not have good experiences..)

Some may throw in the 'But pedo's' thing and those are indeed disturbed people (or at least the active ones who do things to kids), but to not allow a Race because of maybe a few of those types is not a good reason, that is like forbidding chocolate or so because a few may be allergic to it or don't know how to act and uhm... smear it all over walls instead of eating it(?), so letting a possible few cause something to never be is not right.
plus, some of those probably play Lala's anyway, but most people just play it because well, cute! Or it just appeals to them.
(some people like bigass muscular races, other edgy types, other hot or cute females/males, yet again others cute things, or beast races)

Padjal is a beautiful race with some cool lore attached, so I'd really like to see them playable.

Padjal are just midlander hyur who have been chosen by the elementals as children though to serve as their emmisaries, becoming ageless and highly aetherically sensitive. And because of that, there actually isn't that many of them, and because of their emmisary/liason role with the elementals, they're kind of stuck handling affairs in the forest - most of them are out of sight because they're out in the Black Shroud in constant communion with the will of the wood, and so don't have time for trivial things like adventuring, it's why the likes of E Sumi Yan or the Senna siblings actually get you the player to do things for them, because as padjal they simply are not in a position to handle it themselves.

So that's pretty conclusive padjal will never be playable I'm afraid (to say nothing Yoshi has already stated that the hrothgar and viera are the last playable races added to the game and they will not introduce any new ones from now on which is the final nail in the coffin for playable padjal I'm sorry to say).

Aw, that's really a pity, but certainly thanks for the nice reply.

I guess I will somehow have to make a very kind looking Miqo'te anyway then, not always as easy creating as it seems I feel. (even more customization options could be nice and add more diversity)
Or go Lalafell (which can have it's comical next to cute sense as well).

It's definitely possible to make a kind-looking Miqo'te - I assume you mean a male one since E-Sumi is your preferred character design. If you can't find something that works with the face you've currently picked, play around with face 3 (the younger-looking one) particularly since they have a slight smile by default.

Something I've found with Miqo'te models is that while I prefer most of the other races with the iris size set to the default large size, I think Miqo'te (both genders) look better with smaller irises. The large size takes up too much of the eye.

Darker eyes will also make your character look friendlier and less intense, and eyebrow shape makes a big difference to your character's default expression.

If you're picking between the two clans, only Seekers have the slitted-pupil "cat eyes" - Keepers have round pupils but also have fangs, which Seekers don't have.

Thanks for the example, I will be trying the third face option too then, more of a smile would indeed make a face radiate more kindness.
The eye thing I shall also look into, usually I think for some reason that bigger irises are cuter/younger.

The darker eyes definitely seem true, that I noticed indeed, those full white eyes look kind of evil, or the intense like you said.

Round pupils seem cuter if you ask me, though as I was searching on google for Miqo'te looks I saw a topic that actually managed to make a slitted eyes version look rather cute even, though it indeed did have a bit darker eyes as in a version of blue.

I hope to succeed (after all this time and now being back haha), it's rather nice to pull of a look/char that makes you feel, 'Yes! This is it!'.
