    an idea for a small fix to allivate healers stale gameplay

    i know 5.2 is coming soon and we probably wont get any answer to the different healer issues but i will still write my idea to try and fix healer gameplay until 6.0

    WHM:
    1. return aero 3 so that white mage can have aoe dot skill.

    2. give white mage a single target damage/healing skill like assize to help break white mage glare spam, i thought maybe take eureka spell banish and give it a smaller cast time, bit weaker potency and add it a different secondary effect like give allies near the target a short regen like 6-9s.

    SCH:
    1.give him miasma and bane back(doesn't have to be his previous miasma and it could also be identical to summoner)

    2.add to broil and art of war secondary effects based on the dots the target has:
    AOW will apply 1-2 stun based on how many dots the target have.
    broil will have higher damage if bio and/or miasma are on the target(like the previous ruin effect on 5.0).

    AST:
    1.give AST cards secondary effect based on the astral/umbral theme.
    umbral cards will give AST mp back maybe 5% like whm has and astral will increase his healing potency maybe by 5-10% for his next healing spell.

    2.give gravity or celestial opposition 1-2s stun.


    this idea isn't for to answer all the issues we have in our healers or offer the best gameplay but to help apply easy to make changes that will try to help healers until the next rework which probably happen at 6.0.

    You never know, hope blooms eternal. They seemingly rebuilt both nin and smn in 5.1 so major changes have and can happen in between expansions.

    Do enjoy the thought dots and bane returning, then adding some thought when to use it the next ones up. Like dots ticking heavily and either combo into a satisfying stun, more dots, explode them for the remaning duration or Art of War refreshes the duration.

    See any way Lily could play into this? Like you'd have a ground target spell where Lily flies over and puts down a, lets call it Fey Field for five seconds, using Art of War inside it combos into explosion for blind, another dot and pixie dust that gets everywhere. In the glands, in the eyes, in the mouth, reducing combat effectiviness for enemies hit and Fey Wind for friends. In fact, since missing Rouse+Whispering dawn would love more of that kind of interaction where Lily sets up for the shot and depending on which action you need to follow up with one of your own to finish the combo.

    A little high-five emote after wouldn't be unwecome.

    well i do have another rework idea for scholar that i am still thinking about but this idea is just a small and temporary fix idea not a full rework change like they did with nin/smn

    I'm a huge fan of anything that helps combine healing and damage capabilities. I don't like how disconnected healer damage feels from healing abilities.

    With that in mind, what would you think about making it a single target GCD spell, 280 POT (20 less than Glare), 9 sec CD, max two stacks, extends duration of all existing hots by 6 secs. Maybe have it extend Asylum, too.

    Six seconds is two ticks and works out to an extra 400 POT for Regen, and 200 POT for Medica II and Asylum. If this seems too powerful the duration increase could be reduced to 3 secs or the CD could be increased.

    gcd and its potency is fine but the second effect might be overkill and will make white mage overpowered then the other 2 since that will be like AST time dialetion.
    i would suggest maybe a buff that increases regen/asylum/medica II hot effects on the ally that last for 6s maybe to have it a different connection to regen.

    I miss Aero 3 so much, getting rid of that was a damn sin on SE’s part! Also Stella should return to AST as a powerful single target attack and add a Slow effect on to Gravity to help mitigate damage in big pulls, and finally SCH should get Shadowflare back.

    I'm sure that's next expansion; they're running out of unique WHM mechanics to snatch for the other healers so they have to parcel out that homogenization.

    Well got to figure something out using about the same number of skills we currently have though, devs are very keen on keeping skill count low for controller users unfortunately just adding back a bunch of skill just doesnt work with them. They bent for sch energy drain because it really really really needed it and fixed a lot of issues in a single go.

    I've found that, in my experience, the best way to alleviate healers' currently-dull gameplay, is to play the role in content that doesn't give you as much downtime that can only be filled by DPSing.
    Like decorating houses.
