character audio in cutscenes muffled/ectremely quiet

so anytime i am in a cut scene i can hear a faint voice in the back of my head that sounds like someone speaking, later i have been told that some cutscenes have voice acting and if possible i would like to resolve this issue, all other audio is fine its just speaking in cutscenes.

all drivers are up to date and i have switched audio from stereo and 7.1 to no avail on the issue being resolved. my headset is a steelseries arctic 7 wirless headset with the transmitter being connected by usb to my pc

When did this start happening? Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC that coincides with this?

Does this only occur with your headphones, or does it happen regardless of audio device?

Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
