just because I know people won't believe words theres a ss (and its still going at the rate it will be another 2 hours lol at the least thats one reason why it should be done with trails sure its a little more work but in dungons they are programmed to know a fight its not that diffrent just a few extra code lines thats about it
...just out of curiosity... that screenshot shows that its 7:13 am right now for you. Does that extend to the majority of people on your server (and datacenter), aka are you simply trying to queue for this trial basically in the early morning (a time people usually are busy with sleeping and getting ready for work/school/uni/whatever) and are surprised that nothing is happening? This is very much what I was refering to by asking "what times is it".

To me the question would always be: Is the pay off worth the investment - and in a case like this, I just dont see it. Queues are not as bad as an issue as long you as you dont try to queue in the middle of the night - and if you have to do taht (for work reasons etc.) you can always manage to find a server thats in a different timezone and therefor has different peak-hours, to match yours better.

I get that people only want to play through the story at their own pace, but personally I think a much better solution here would be to just provide them with a cutscene then. Maybe of a video of 4/8 of the devs running through the dungeon/trial. However, all endgame content - all optional dungeons, raids, trials, tomestones etc. - should be locked for a person who picks that option until they return and complete all the duties with other people to ensure you dont get someone completly cluesless in your next Eden NM or even EX-primal party.

...but yeah, queueing at a time when other people are actually awake would probably help quite a bit.
