    Extra information required regarding ToS

Extra information required regarding a ToS infrigment.

A friend of mine got permabanned a while ago and after taking a break for quite a bit he's thinking about buying a new account for the game.

However he's unsure about this being against the ToS as a player he voilated the rights and acted in such a way that wasn't acceptable and the new account would be under his name. So we are wondering if this is acceptable is Square Enix their eyes or if it isn't allowed.

I also wasn't sure where to post this and since it's a technical thing I'm unsure if this is the correct way to ask about this, however since it's only extra information I thought this might be acceptable. Thanks.

It's prop against tos. Any actions to circumvent a ban are prohibited and getting a new account is just that.

It would likely count as ban circumvention. The real question would be whether or not SE chooses to even act upon it.

It does actually confirms in the terms of service that it's not allowed under section 3:

Square Enix shall be entitled to terminate any FFXIV Service Account (immediately and without notice) of any User who (1) was previously suspended or terminated by Square Enix and who Square Enix believes (in its sole discretion) re-registered using different registration information in order to circumvent or bypass such suspension or termination
Although as the above player, whether they choose to do anything is anyones guess, but technically they could.
