How Do You Level Your Trusts?

I read an article that stated that you need to do "6 dungeon runs" with your Trust to level them. Right now, I can't seem to get them to move past Malikah's Well.

Do I have to run them through 6 different dungeons to level them, or 6 of the same dungeon? Like, do I have to do 6 in the Well to get them to level? I'm trying to open up Mt. Gulg.

You have to complete the MSQ before you can level them. If you have completed the MSQ you will choose your trusts you want to level up but you'll have to choose the avatar in the trust menu - not the scenario (they won't level in the scenario mode). You'll have to start them over from the first dungeon (Holminster Switch) as they will be level 71.

Dungeons are unlocked through the story. Just keep playing to reach Mt Gulg, which will have trusts already available at the correct level for your story clear.

As Arillyn said, the "levelling up" part of trusts isn't relevant until post-credits - and even then, only necessary if you want to continue levelling classes with them, re-run Lv80 dungeons with them, or possibly the achievement/title for getting them to Lv80.

It does unlock an alternate costume (not free glamour) and regain access to "scenario mode" (with the group varying according to the story instead of the fixed party you'll have for levelling), but that all feeds back into using trusts and not unlocking anything else.

The issue is I am at the point in the story to enter Mt. Gulg. But it does not show on the drop down menu.

My husband is at the same point in the MSQ as me and he had Mt. Gulg on the dropdown menu so he completed it with a Trust.

How? Why? I’m a lvl 80 WHM and he is a lvl 80 DNC.

You have to enter the first time by talking to the scions outside the dungeon and selecting the option to form a party with them and enter.

It does not show up in the list until you have done it once. (I think this was changed, because when I leveled my potato and Catboy, it let me queue without talking, but leveling my most recent alt this last month required me talking to them outside to enter the first time)

Trusts do not have a level independent of the dungeon until you finish the 5.0 msq.

As said, they don't level until after the main story is complete as mentioned.

Are the Trust NPCS stood outside the dungeon entrance ready to go in? You should be able to start it by talking with them if it's not showing for you in trust menu. If they're not there you may need to do a couple more quest objectives first. The Trust becomes available when the dungeon itself unlocks in duty finder.

So, I was a bit confused them. When I saw Trusts were under the Duty button, I didn't realize you had to still talk to them first outside the instance. All good not.
