If you place a certain tier or a certain ranking, you should be allowed to choose from rewards in that ranking. So if you placed top 100, you should get something you can redeem for top 100 rewards of past seasons (excluding the very top top trophy) if you wanted those instead of whatever was being offered. Also make the stuff you win account-wide. It can't possibly be that hard to make that happen, since they did it with the old veteran rewards

Edit: I just read that thread. It would be nice if he made them available again but of course in feast, by feasting. 99 Wolf Collars or something. /shrug. Now I have to go change my signature... I'm gonna miss it. It's been there since like.. the POTD days.. /sob.

Uh, no. S14 Top 100 isn't the same as S3 Top 100, S7 Top 100 isn't the same as S5 Top 100, and so forth.

Also if I was an S1/S2 player and caught people with rewards for those seasons after spamming a bunch of Monk and Dancer games in S14 ngl I'd be pissed.

I guess it's way easier now? (I haven't played Feast since SB.... hell I haven't played FFXIV since SB so there's a lot to get used to now). In that case, I'd be inclined to agree with you. There's a certain something to being able to say "I got this when it was hard." .. but it's really a shame that that line of thinking doesn't apply to anything else in the game. I wish it did but at the same time, I wish there wasn't this artificial wall of either":

1. You can't have this because it was available for a super rare period of time and to a super exclusive group of people.. haha just kidding here's some earrings. OR
2. I want gamers to have rare items.. but only PVP players, and only 1% of them. It's like that meme with the metronome!

Even if you haven't played this season (it is easier for top 100 than usual btw) it's just common sense that every season is going to be different and metas change (because virtually every PvP game is like this; even Call of Duty and Madden aren't the same every season lol); I mean I compared SB to HW in my example and everyone knows how different they were. In SHB, melee has become a far easier and more effective role, and tank has become much, much harder. Caster is possibly the most difficult it ever has been. Cutoffs are low, in S7 mount season I think it was like 2050 on my DC, this season I'll be surprised if it's like above 1700-1800; so if someone gets 1800 this season why should they get the same reward someone else got in a far competitive season where they might have needed 2100+ to get it? Correct, that line of thinking doesn't apply to anywhere else because this is the only recognised competitive activity in the game. If you do Ultimate SB stuff now, aside from a few ability changes or changes the way certain jobs play like Ninja for example it's the same fight, if people weren't capable of doing it in SB they'd be in the same position now, so the reward stays the same because balance-wise it's consistent I wouldn't say UWU or UCOB have gotten easier. Also 1%? Have you ever played rank? Using the pool of people that actually play Feast from DC to DC it's more like 30% (probably 18-20% if you take away all the alts) - that is a hell of a lot more than exclusive ranked rewards in a lot of other games, but that's because our community is also very small.

Yes, I played quite a bit and got platinum. I think in the last season I played I got gold. I honestly don't remember. But I miss the competition. I saw that for some reason they're not doing rewards this season because they're going to be making bigger changes to PVP in the next patch, or something along those lines?

With all due respect, as I always appreciate people that play the mode enough to at least get Platinum because without people like you, we don't get pops - but that's not like extremely active, Plat is sort of like where the bulk of individual improvement starts I'd say and you leave behind a tier where you can pretty much get away with anything, but the important thing is yes, you've seen ranked; the reason I asked is because obviously if you play even two different seasons of ranked, you -should- notice differences.

That is correct, we're getting another another overhaul, which sorta carries on from my last point that S15 is going to be a different season to S14, the S14 reward befits the game's state in S14, like any other season (altho S15 will probs be s14 mount recolor because SE are -at- least generous enough to give people two chances to get it; same way in WoW the type of mount ie drake, wyrm, serpent etc is obtainable every season in the expac in diff colors but once it's gone - it's gone)

this is what happens when u start 8 week race 2 week before finish,everyone at least gold and cant be matched with you

Next season will be probably a recolor of this season's reward, so lesson learned, play early on in the season and not when it's basically over. Get gold and after that you can basically do w.e you want because gold will safely pop the vast majority of days right until the end of season.
