Nier content is terrible in every aspect. Such a missed opportunity on providing additional lore, unlike it's predecessors.

I don't wish to see another ultimate for a year. I still need to start on TEA after 5.2

In fact, they had planned three ultimates during SB, but canceled the last one because their teams were focused on Baldesion. They feared that the ultimate was of poor quality compared to UcoB and UwU. Depending on the content provided on ShB, we can still have a second or even a third ultimate during the expansion.

Hmm never heard about that. I remember Yoshida giving an Dengeki interview response saying that based on community response that though they originally thought of having an Ultimate fight every odd patch that they changed their minds and 2 per expansion would be better. In fact, they had planned three ultimates during SB, but canceled the last one because their teams were focused on Baldesion. XIV CM: What are you most looking forward to about the new NieR raids?
Me: The opportunity for a real, dark Yoko Taro spin on XIV lore!
XIV CM: Well, wasn't that exciting?!
Me: ...I mean, at least the combat wasn't quite the worst raid yet... But did you spend all of a dozen man-hours establishing its place in XIV, specifically? Less?
Personally, I'm most looking forward to Sephi, Sophi, and Zurvan or the Four Lords.
I swear they give you people an inch and you try to take a mile.
that would be a very bad idea to waste their time to make something which very few people even try.

I would assume the next Ultimate would be either Thordan, Nidhogg, or the Warring Triad.
They could probably pair the first two into one huge encounter, actually. Start by fighting Thordan with the Heavens' Ward performing their various mechanics. As Thordan gets low, they sacrifice themselves to power him up into a new form for the next phase. As the fight continues, he gets desperate and calls on Ratatoskr's stolen power, which enrages Nidhogg's spirit and brings him out. The party has to fend off both the empowered Thordan and the enraged Nidhogg at the same time, until finally Thordan is struck down, causing Nidhogg to absorb his aether and transform into an even greater form for the finale. Could be pretty epic.
