Nothing can be done about it OP. Just have to suffer the dos Queue like everyone else.

Maybe make it so can use trusts in all pve dutie instances. I get really discourage when says I'm list number 1 for 22 minutes and queue still never pops.

As a healer I have had to wait over 20 minutes sometimes when I queue for a specific instance. You're being very optimistic to expect under a half hour as a dps.Last night, Friday night after work - so prime time, I tried to do MSQ Roulette. It said 20 minutes. Okay whatever. This is already a huge time sink but I decided to just play a mobile game on my iPad while I wait. Well 20 minutes comes and I'm still 19th in line. 30 minutes come and I'm 11th. I log out.
I've had similar experiences trying to que for whatever the highest dungeon is (for me, Doma Castle right now). I know this isn't popular content but I would hope there are 3 other people in the grand scheme of the game that might que for this in less than a half hour.
That's normal for a dps.
There is way more you can do than just the hunting log or crafting. Beast tribe dailies, fates, clan hunts, gathering, treasure maps, gold saucer games, make new glams in the glamour dresser, bard performance, duels at the Wolves' Den...and that's just the things you can do in game. This doesn't include other typical things like youtube, netflix, browsing reddit, doing chores, or if you're like me; turn on the switch and play pokémon.I've been trying to level my Dragoon (presently 68) and boy is it a chore. Early on I would work on my hunting log to distract me while I wait, but now I don't have that and there isn't much content I'm interested in while waiting. I don't enjoy crafting, and there is only so much I can do in my apartment.
So you left the queue after a half hour. Am I to understand from this that you get to play for only about an hour a day? Everyone is free to make their own choices, but in my opinion mmorpgs are not a good choice to play if you have such little time to game. Forget about doing alliance raids. If you get any of the recent ones completion time can often take more than 40 minutes, and that's without taking queue times into account. If your group isn't the best you could be in the instance for an hour.
It's ridiculous to get some chores or homework done instead of sit around doing nothing but watch a timer in a game? Okay...

It's fine to get things done instead of watch a timer - what's ridiculous to me is the need to do this. When I log into a game I want to play, not do chores while listening for a random pop-up or watch Netflix that I will have to pause at a random time. I like to concentrate on what I am choosing to do.
I guess the other in-game activity suggestions are helpful to some - I find a lot of that boring and not what I want to be doing. I enjoy FFXIV for the main story, dungeons/trials/raids. I play around with glamours and housing but that only provides so much content and at some point you are happy with your glamor and house for the time being.
FATES are dull, but I guess would help level - except that in Stormblood where I am no one is doing them. They are already tedious in a group let alone soloing them.
It sounds like this is just how things are - so I unsubscribed for now. It's fine that they created side activities that just don't appeal to me. I'm happy if other people enjoy doing those things. Maybe I'll come back for more story and when things are more active again in case that helps.

Then there's a pretty long list of online games you should stay away from, including this one. It's fine to get things done instead of watch a timer - what's ridiculous to me is the need to do this. Don't get me wrong, no one likes to wait but most of us are able to do so without it ruining our day.
It's not going to change.
And it's not because there aren't enough tank and healer classes in the game. It's because not enough people play those roles compared to dps. This isn't really something SE can fix. Every mmorpg with a role system like this has the exact same problem. Most players either do not enjoy those two roles or they are turned off by the responsibility that comes with them.
So when you do resub in the future, don't expect the situation to have improved. It only seems to improve temporarily when a new tank or healer class comes to the game, and then it goes back to how it was before when the novelty of the new classes die down.

I will not disagree that is annoying, but it is the way of the FF14 world and things will never change no matter how much you wish them to.It's fine to get things done instead of watch a timer - what's ridiculous to me is the need to do this. The game is NOT going to cater to your needs, wishes, and whims, you have to adapt to it and 'game' the system. This means like others said, do other things during the queue timer, be productive and make the most of your time so you don't feel that it is wasted.
In fact, REALLY easy thing to do, when you get home from work, turn on the game FIRST thing and queue for the MSQ, then go and do all the home stuff that you would normally do when you get home anyway. I will bet by the time you are done with them, that queue would have popped or be close to it.
Or, find friends to play with, don't try and solo all the time. When I queue with friends as a DPS, fast pops happen all the time. Also, not EVERY queue is ungodly slow, some actually happen fast. I have had 10 sec dps MSQ queue pops. Also, be SURE to have it where you can enter instances that are already in progress. People get kicked from MSQ runs for various reasons and you can get lucky and get that spot, sometimes when the thing is almost done and get full credit for it.
Remember, it's on you to try and make a bad thing more bearable because the game itself is NOT going to help you. And if you can't cope with it, well.....
Not sure what you're trying to imply here. Do you need to re-read it?
I'm not "trying" anything other than exactly what I said. If that went over your head maybe you should Fantasia into something that isn't a Lalafell.

And I thought I was impatianced. - spelling I know-. Damn, sucks that you unsubbed but yeah it's never going to change. DPS are just everywhere, tho honestly... 30 mins isn't THAT long of a wait and my alt on Zalera doesn't even wait that long... she's a sam. But I'm also used to the DPS wait times as all mmos I know of has the same issue. I mean seriously tho, if you're 58 then a few runs of deep dungeon will get you to 60 and the ques will jump up a tiny bit depending on your playtime. the 60 dungeons pop more often then most. Least they did for me when I was leveling my monk so....

If you are a Dps just do Potd/HoH, both have exterme fast Times for DDs and give nice xp.
While I sympathize at your frustration, as someone who mains a DPS job and has leveled all jobs to max level (on another character), try to get over that feeling of being disrespected as it's uncalled for due to the nature of the system. It's like a theme park. If you choose a popular attraction, then be prepared to wait in a long line for it just like everyone else who chooses the same attraction. If you don't want to wait long, then it's your choice to pick a less popular attraction with fewer wait time. No one is being disrespectful of your free time (other than yourself if you insist on having that feeling of being disrespected) as you can choose what to do with it knowing that not everything is in your control.Anyway I'm trying to push through to get to trusts but there have been so many evenings lately where I just ask myself why I'm paying a sub to play on my iPad while I wait for a half hour? This has been happening very regularly lately and feels just so disrespectful of my free time.
