    Eliminate crafting tedium

Problem: The hundreds / thousands of sub-materials you need to craft first. Even if you make a macro, you still sit for hours clicking Synthesize, macro, wait, repeat.
Is this engaging gameplay? I don't think so..

Suggestion: Change Quick Synthesis. After you've crafted the same item 10 times in a row with the same action, the Quick Synth button lights up.
When you click it, you get a chance to enter a number of items to craft, and it repeats the craft using the exact same actions you used for the first 10, but ten times faster. Instead of sitting there clicking two buttons for 60 minutes, you're done in 6 with far fewer clicks.

To require a bit moire player involvement, the first 10 crafts to enable QS must be performed manually, not via macro.

After reading all your questions and complaints in regards to FFXIV's crafting system, I kinda have to ask... are you sure that crafting is content you want to engage in in this game? It appears that this really isnt the system for you... if crafting is to tedious for you, just leave it be.

In regards to your suggestion here:
    1) Since you dont need base-materials to be HQ to actually get an HQ-end-product - provided you know what you're doing - I dont see a point in changing Quick Synth this way. You can already use it to get tones of base-materials easly.
    2) You're also exaggerating greatly - you dont even need 20 base-mats to craft the full range of endgame-gear, and as mentioned, if you're a skilled craft (or at least clever enough to copy a good macro) you dont need the base-mats in HQ, so... back to basic quick synth.
    3) At least part of the value of those items comes from the process being time-consuming and yes, maybe a bit tedious.

As much as I am not a fan of how quick synthesis works at the moment. I'd rather see quick synthesis be more like "bulk synthesis" and have a range of HQ/NQ gamble. You don't really need HQ mats to make something HQ now a days.

Crafting is a bit of a mixed bag for me at the moment, but hoarding and crafting in bulk is definitely time consuming and that is always reflected in the price tag you put on the item

    If you say so.

I enjoy crafting, I enjoy getting all the materials together and making stuff. If I didn't, I wouldn't do it. If I need a lot of base materials in a hurry, I use quick synth which is fine as it is. If you want to be sure of HQ, you do it by hand, which is how it should be.

If you don't enjoy crafting, don't do it?

Or you can stick to making the items that already have Quick Synthesis available if you don't want to devote the time needed for end game crafting. There's still profit to be made from those items, potentially even more if you're smart and pick items that are selling rapidly on your world's MB.

It doesn't matter how many different posts you make with subtle variations on this one theme, SE is highly unlikely to turn FFXIV crafting into WoW crafting. If you want to craft end game items, you're going to have to put in the time. Accept that end game crafting here is not right for you and move on.
