New game + question

I have a buddy that's starting the game now from ARR. When he gets to Heavensward, would I be able to "join" him if I use new game + and start from that point? Thanks!

You still interact with the world in new game plus, all it does it remove your ability to get rewards from all the msq quests, SO you should be able to quest with him^^

You won't be able to do solo instances together, and I assume that includes places like the Waking Sands and Fortemps Manor as well.

But generally yes, you'll be able to play the story simultaneously, if not always together.

Arr isn't new game + at the moment, the devs are revamping it to streamline it. But once your friend gets into Heavensward onward, you can do that. You could even just level a class you haven't yet by doing things with the, do fates to keep up level wise maybe?

It wasn't made to do that, so it'll likely never happen.
The idea is to relive the story, not to level.
