I guess I'll just have to buy some sun glasses or something then and rush -sigh- I hate rushing zones lol
Are you playing in a dark room? Turn on lots of lights in your room and/or open all the window shades. If you're looking at a bright TV in a dim or dark room then that's your problem. Your eyes are trying to non-stop adjust to the bright screen and then dark room.

Lots of good suggestions already but it also helped me to angle the camera toward the ground as much as possible. Never angle up if you can help it - the sky is eye searing in most zones. Kholusia is the worst imo. Maybe even zooming in would help a little bit. Less chance of a camera turn pointing you at a sea of painful light.

Sounds like you need to increase the ambient lighting. Getting a back light for your TV or monitor will make a bigger difference than just about anything else. Failing that you could turn on more lights, use brighter bulbs, or bring in an extra lamps.

I had similar difficulties in early ShB (though less severe than yours) and solved it by turning on every light in the room and adding an LED strip behind my monitor.

Unfortunately the 'Everlasting Light' effect in the First isn't very easy on the eyes, and it reaches truly critical proportions in a certain dungeon around level 78 which is basically 'heaven on steroids' - I had to keep looking away the glare got that bad.

Luckily as part of the story that garish glare does disappear as you proceed through the storyline and a normal day/night cycle and weather return, but it takes a while.
That dungeon is nothing compared to the first time you enter into Pixieland tho. That shit was worse than a whole population of a server casting Holy at the same time

I dunno... I'd say the final section of that dungeon is almost as bad as a RDM lb lol

Okay So I beat a lightwarden and the zone became 100% more standable to walk around in so that is a pretty good solution. As for the health stuff ya i've been seeing a doctor over it last week had a few test done so ya. Long story short my entire life lights have caused me alot of drowsyness and stuff so I tend to put blankets on my windows and stuff but thats all personal issue stuff. However Thank you all for the suggestions.

If you're not too worried about spoilers might be good for you to know that
at one point in the story, the light does come back in the zones... not for very long, and it's rather late in the story, but be aware you might need to make adjustments again when it does

True, but not long after you do go to a zone as part of the story that is the complete opposite, that is very dark, and soothingly so (
I admit I really like The Tempest for that reason, not just because Asciantown is so cool
). And it should go without saying finishing the story in that zone will banish the annoying glare again from all the zones, this time for good, so don't despair!
