yes please, maybe they can make it so aoes automatically lock on to all the targets that would have been hit and it wont cancel unless they all die.

Its not just an AoE the OP refers to, its an AoE of of the target. Which is how it should be. We also have AoEs that work off the caster. They are both great as it is. We have o need for a circle on the ground. It workdsoff you or an enemy taget. If your incapable of learning to adjust to that, perhaps you need more practice.

You can't practice to work against chance. Example: two BLM begin casting Fire on a group of ants, each targeting a separate target. Meanwhile, A melee is working to help DD them down. Now, both casts are cast at the same time, however, server lag dictates when the process actually begins. One nuke goes off, landing a critical hit on the other BLM target (by chance) and kills it. The other cast is then cancelled, resulting in one BLM having hate on the remaining ants that would have been killed by the opposing AOE - ultimately slowing the DPS of the entire group. Its not just an AoE the OP refers to, its an AoE of of the target. This is a function of UI/mechanics - not player ability or practice. Sorry if there was some confusion.
I just realized the problem here: you haven't completed Cutter's (per Lodestone achievements.) I am referencing an issue that is particularly problematic in the two new instances (and end-game content like SH bosses.) Your frame of reference is missing those experiences.
Now pointing out that someone is arguing a point without the experience necessary to speak on it - THAT'S Captain Obvious material!

i agree with the op as it would be a nice addition.

Your logic is that because someone hasn't completed content that they havenever experienced it? Thats Brilliant, with intuitive thinking like that, you should get a government job.
Have you ever butchered a cow before Yves? I am guessing you have not. That doesn't mean it is impossible for you to factually know that its where beef comes from.
I mean, thispoint, it reads as if your wanting them to adjust a game dynamic to accomidate you and your wants for a very specific piece of content. Thats not feasable.

On the contrary, my logic is that those who are addressing tasks specified that they have not successfully completed ought not to comment the in a matter-of-fact manner.Your logic is that because someone hasn't completed content that they havenever experienced it? This is reflected in your analogy of butchering. Yes, I sure can know where a T-bone steak comes from but that doesn't mean I should tell the butcher how to do the job. Nor should a parent with no educational experience lecture a teacher on how to teach a classroom full of children. Certainly, the parent understands the base dynamics of the task but, since they are limited in scope, they ought to only raise questions and make possible suggestions - not make statements that are broad and in a factual manner.
Regardless of all that, I understand and respect your position (despite disagreeing with it.) What I don't respect or accept is the insinuation that "If your incapable of learning to adjust to that, perhaps you need more practice."
To leverage the same statement you so willfully used, if you yourself cannot comprehend the logic behind differences in UI/mechanics and the inconvenience they cause for groups for who have succeeded where you have not then maybe you ought to brush up on critical thinking.
In short, "you're out of your element, Donnie."
If you think the position lock you would incur while trying to move your little AoE target circle on the ground would make AoEs more effectiant, I believe your poorly mistaken. Especially if lag of any kind occurs at that particular time. Not to mention that the added graphics and spell control information being transfered, would in itself induce more lag in general.
Looking at that as a whole, I don't see many players finding that system more effeciant, reguardless of what content they have completed.
Also, I love your eletist mentality about it. Nothing says please work with me ans see my point like telling others ther opition has no value compared to yours because you completed 1 dungeon they have not. Nor does it qualify you to be more familiar with AoE mechanics or make you more qualfied to deem how they need to be changed.
