Fighting Desperately...

Yeah I played ffxi since it came out and then eventually went back and forth once this game came out and grew tired of abyssea and how easy the game had become and shut off my elf. I know people grew tired of how long it took to lvl up or camping those 24hhr HNM's, etc but there definitely was a sense of accomplishment in that game for so many things.. really everything.

Crafting to 100 and rest to 50, lvling all to 75 cap before abyssea, finishing Sky, Sea, Dynamis, Limbus. AF quests and on and on. I miss all that but then again needing to always have help for so many things or dual box got old so I dig some of the solo aspect of 14.

Don't go back. Trust me you will get really freakin bored after a few months cause you'll realize it's the same old stuff you always did. Well for me I start realizing that this is why I got bored in first place. Same stuff I did for all those years since game was released and it's just not that fun anymore. My acc't still there but turned off but I can't foresee me ever going back.

PLus most of my buddies on there quit. FFXI remains in my memories and in my photobucket account and that's where it will stay until they switch off the servers.

..and yes from a post earlier.. ffxi is nothing like it used to be in the first 4-5 years. It's so freakin easy now it's absurd and overpowered jobs. I think that's why it's easy for me to step away because I accomplished so much when it was much harder to play and I can't see anything topping those glory years.
