It's all about what I personally enjoyed and preferred. Challenge it may not necessarily have had, but if XI was easy, then this game is for mongoloids. No offense to any mongoloids in the community.

I think my main problem with this game right now is the lack of variety the new jobs offer. I mean, if you take a look at bard for example, by the time you got bard to level 50 in FFXI,you had a slew of songs and ways to caste them at your disposal. Now, I get that some of them were kinda useless, and I also get that jobs arent meant to be their own thing, but rather a much more narrow version of the class they come from. But to me (cue my opinion) the jobs right now don't cut it. They are simply a few extra skills and a way to wear af on a class. When i see others play bard, I dont see a bard, I see an archer with some bard abilites (5 to be exact, which is pathetic). All of the jobs feel this way to me right now. I get that they will add to them in the future but, for those of us playing right now that have been waiting for a while for this, its kind of a let down.

Sorry to rant all over you OP Xoo, but you started it with your crazy FFXI nostalgia
