"Missing the tie and the white sleeves" is losing the entire look of the outfit though, unless you specifically want it for the two-colour effect and not the style.

That said, I really think they should have used it for Astrid - the child NPCs seem to use resized version of the adult male clothing model, which presumably is why she can't wear the dress. But she seems out of place wearing plain black next to the other two, so the tabard might have been a good workaround for her.

I agree with the sentiment but it's not as simple as saying "remove the gender lock" like it's an arbitrary setting they've switched on. They have to take the time to model the other versions.

Well, of course a partly-undyeable thing is only going to match a very specific dye (or nothing at all) if you're trying to make it look one colour. The waistcoat has the same issue - you either use the specific match or you pick something that complements it. Or contrasts, if you prefer.

They've said from the start that it was a design choice - they're not designed to be compatible with hats, old or new. They get things that sit on top of the hair without altering it, but they don't get hats that need to switch off part of the hairstyle when equipped. (Plus I don't think there'd be any way to place the female hat on Viera without clipping through their ears really weirdly.)

It does the same on Roegadyn. I wanted a screenshot of her sitting, but... nope.

It reminds me a bit of that Korean dress we never got here because of the dreadful clipping on the skirt.

Does it work any better on the smaller races?

The silliest part (other than the whole race incompatibility garbage) is that Astrid herself wears a suit. Sure it's not the event reward suit but come on. The female representative in the event wears a suit and yet fem characters can't wear the reward suit? I know it's not as simple as just flipping a switch or anything but seeing Astrid standing there in her suit not 20 feet from the event vendor just exemplifies how dumb the gender restrictions are like little else does.

I'm pretty sure it's just the Best Man's attire which has been gender neutral for a good while now.

Best Man suit is gender neutral from the very start as far as I remember, but I think it's not the point that StriderShinryu tried to bring up.

Wouldn't this be the perfect time to make a statement and start glamouring Astrid's suit as a female? The devs have ways of tracking which items get glamoured the most, so if a suit get's in the top 10 female glams they will notice there is a demand for such outfits. The same goes for male characters. Rock that 2B dress and make it popular.

I understand why someone using existing glamours would be asking for more variety to suit one's style, but ignoring existing glamours and asking for more such gear that will also be ignored seems a bit wasteful.

In terms of values and our players, it’s a time when there’s a lot of changes in perspectives, but we can’t ignore the people who refuse to make changes in their values. There may be players who do not want to see male players wear attire that’s traditionally worn on females...We do want to respect freedom of self expression and that people want to dress the same way, but we do need to consider and be mindful of those who look at people dressed in a certain way and manage how they perceive things.

Let me give an example: I was heading to the office on a Saturday and I saw a situation that made me very sad. I was trying to go into the office and I was waiting at a red light. I saw a high schooler coming from the other side of the road in their school uniform. It seemed that they were biologically male at birth but they were wearing a sailor fuku, which is traditionally female attire. In Japanese high schools, there’s more and more schools that are accommodating for freedom of not being restricted to a specific gender for your uniform...That person probably wanted to present the gender they identified with in their heart...On the other side of the road was a mother and a daughter. The daughter was perhaps 5 years old. As soon as the mother saw the high schooler, she shielded her daughter as if she didn’t want her daughter to see. The high schooler must have been very hurt. Situations like these still happen and there’s areas where there’s not as much understanding.

I'm glad yoshida respects us who believe in traditional values, even though his opinion is the opposite of mine he still respects the fact that there is people who hold very dear thier belief systems.

Besides that I wish they'd focus on getting more headgear wearable for hrothgar and viera, as far as glam complaints go that should be their main focus, but all in all I think the devs do a great job with this game.

So he already addressed this issue and people are still complaining, sounds about right.

I wrote a whole thing but ultimately it just felt too long and drawn out, with a muddled topic, so I scrapped it. But ultimately, the TLDR was that things aren't so black and white on this topic. While I wont say Yoshi and the Devs don't have respect for your values. I wanna say it's more that they are showing respect for the other person because of your values. Sadly, it doesnt take much for people to find something different about someone and use that to persecute them.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
