Then don't ready up for the mentor roulette. If you are so worried about getting things like that just don't do it. That's the whole point, you shouldn't be doing it if you are so frightened to get extremes. There are those who want to learn and I see it very often, more often than not.

Im not frieghtened to get extremes, you missed the point completely of my post, if I come into an extreme and theres even one person who doesn't speak the same language (which is very common on EU) the chance of clearing goes down so low that you needed bother unless there happenes to be someone else who could try and translate. I sign up to mentor roullete to help people, but if people don't want to learn, or cannot communicate which seems to be the majority of my mentor roulletes of late, then the problem is with them and the system, not the mentors themselves, as I said, I'm in favour of an overhaul of the mentoring system, but putting it all on the mentors just because you have anecdotes on people being very willing to learn is not doing any favours.

There's a reply function on the forum, use it or it will be hard to track who you are responding to. Regardless while the system is how it is, there is a penalty for leaving content without an abandon, and if people opt to take that penalty and leave, you are not entitled to that persons time, you can certainly argue that you should be and people should get their mentor status revoked for doing it, but that leaves the system open to abuse from the other end.

Did I say that leaving a duty is abuse? I think if it consistently happens with a single mentor then yes, yes it is. They are abusing the roulette system and they need to be reviewed. But otherwise, it is not if you are like "Oh, they aren't listening I am leaving after trying for a while."

You can't judge or change that tho - people not listening- Like I get what he is saying tho. It SUCKS loading into a duty any duty and a mentor instantly leaves when they see a leaf. And I'm not talking about the extremes... I've seen them do that to DUNGEONS. I'll never forget when I was learning a healer and I mentioned this. The mentor instantly left and yes.. it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Everyone likes to blame the leafs and new people first, but it's a two way street like you said. Mentors have that rep cause the bad ones gave it to them. - Keep in mind all my bad mentor experiences are from normal apparently easy mode dungeons :/- In my ver limited expierence it's never the new players that are the bad ones... it's been mentors who mess up mechs, don't listen, have bad tudes etc etc etc. And the system serious does need a rework tho. Why defend a broken system no matter who is at fault?

If a mentor abuses you, just report them.
That being said, while annoying, someone leaving early isn't abuse.
