    Disconnecting on Ps4 Pro

Hello, I hope this is right thread..

I'm having problems with disconnecting. I recently got a ps4 pro and I lose connection about once every hour. I get the 90006 or 90002 error message log off. Check my internet connection which is always fine and re-log and I'm connected again this is happening a lot more frequently. I'm on Coeurl so I though maybe congestion but this happens at dead hours as well..

Is there some issue with psn or the server?

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Are you connected to the router directly or are you using WiFi? What have you tried so far to alleviate the issue? Where in game do you experience the issue?

Good morning and thank you for the reply.

    Could you try the following:

    - Make sure that "Cookines" and " Javascript" are enabled on the PSN browser

    - Open the following ports ranges on your router:

    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

These are remote ports in your router’s firewall. They designate what can send information to your PC and what cannot. These specific ports are used by the game to connect to the local client.

Same thing for me that started a week ago. Did everything as well. I’m in coeurl. I used pingplotter and i found that I have a 30% packet loss on my third hop. Would that be the cause of the freezes and code 9006? Ps4 wired. If the packet loss is what is causing my problem, what do I tell my isp? Because they think everything is fine...

Hello bushydabush. If you are experiencing packet loss that early in your route, you may need to contact your ISP regarding the issue. Make a report with them indicating that you are having trouble connecting to a service and provide the hop you are having trouble with.

Thank you for the reply Jimmymagic. I think you may be in a similar situation as bushydabush. If you have already attempted the troubleshooting for your router (and your router doesn't have any settings that may slow or weaken your connection), the issue may lie along your route to the server. Since this is outside your home network, I'd recommend contacting your ISP about the matter.

I fixed my issue using vpnvanish. ISP routing was bad and vpn vanish was the only thing I could internet share with Mac through ps4 and didn’t have anymore packet loss. If you have a windows computer you can use mudfish to internet share through ps4
