Retainer Boost Issue

Is the job of your retainer the same as the job you have at 70? Retainer max level isn't determined by your highest job's level, but rather your level in the job your retainer has. E.g. if your retainer is a black mage then it can only be as high in level as your level in black mage even if you have another job that is higher.

If it is not, it is possible to change the job of your retainer by purchasing a job reset item from your grand company and talking to the retainer advocate. Since it looks like you have Dancer as your 70 job, I would recommend making your retainer a dancer before using the boost.
