In my opinion its all about communication, not difficulty.

There are couple of fights during leveling process, that can be obstacle if you are not aware of mechanics.
Ex: Efreet (nails), Chrysalis (tear), Lakshmi (Vril), Shinryu's iced-floor, etc..
It's never more than 1-2 abilities, that are truly problematic.

What is needed to overcome this, is for one - JUST ONE - person who knows the pitfalls to open chatline and write it for new people - and for them to listen.
I do this, when I join these instances in roulette and it becomes apparent, there are multiple new people.

Rarely, you can join parties where all the old-hands are too full of themselves and can't be bothered. OR you join parties, where new people are not interested in taking advice.
Those parties then disband, because they failed to play as a team.

Should SE be fixing this for us? I say no.
