Modern/Casual Glams?

I was wondering if anybody had any examples of modern or casual glamours that they could share! Specifically for males.

I've been looking around and haven't had a lot of luck finding examples since a lot of the armour in this game is quite loud.

Here's my attempt so far:


I've only been looking at the level 1 cosmetic clothing on the market board, so it's very possible that I'm missing a lot!

I think in terms of "chic"ness, that's probably as good as you're gonna get. A couple other items that might fit the bill are the Fireglass Hooded Vest and the Indigo Shirt. There's also, the Rebel Coat and Urban Coat. The Survival and Extreme Survival Shirt might do the trick for more a more "street/casual" look.

Yeah, ironically the 'casual' stuff like the indigo shirt tends to be relatively expensive level 1 glams. You're not going to find much for 'casual' clothes in higher level stuff.

It's not 'modern' style but the gold saucer has some clothing that matches the different city states too if you want something that's casual in setting.

What could be considered casual/modern sadly does depend on both your race and gender too. For instance one of the outfits I like to use, that has semi become what people identify me by, is the Poncho. On a lalafell the poncho looks "natural" but might appear too big and uncoordinated on a larger individual. As you can see in this pic I have of the Lalamon Starters. (Viridian the Grass type, Pelito the Water type, and Toki the Fire type, lol) Please ignore the murderous chocobo behind us, lol?

also the Hingan/Doman coat/jacket looks "modern/casual" on me but might look old fashioned on you since you'd show more detail.

I personally recommend finding individual pieces you think could be modern/casual, and then seeing how they can pair up. Don't forget to play with dyes as well. They help a lot.

The eastern attire is pretty modern, I think - and comes with a purse ^^ (In case ya have any female alts).

I really like how your lala looks like he could be a resident of Ul'dah.

The WOL really stands out when in cities and towns, with a lot of the battle gear being very detailed and colourful. Well that's okay for most people, from an RP perspective it's pretty immersion breaking.

Definitely look at higher-level gear and not just the Lv1 glamour stuff. There are a lot of things with potential, and some plainer items as well.

Casual healer with the Wind Silk Coatee, which is for all classes but the white-and-red theme is perfect for WHM. It actually looks like it could be a male counterpart to Y'shtola's outfit in Heavensward.



Caster variant of the same outfit - this is a different version of the shirt that's caster-specific from the Lv61 dungeon - the shirt stays black and the red part is dyed.



Stealth healer - you'll need to be Lv50 for the Ironworks headgear and weapon.



An assortment of outfits based around the Spriggan jacket from last Hatchingtide (Easter) event. The full outfit also comes with (for male characters) fairly plain three-quarter pants, but I was deliberately using other things.



I'll upload a more full-body shot later, but this is a Lv51 jacket meant for crafters but equippable by all classes.



Coordinating with the annoyingly undyeable flower crown.
