put preorder things on the mogstation

i didn't know where to put this so if wrong forum please move it, but you should put the preorder minions on the mogstation, square enix would make a lot of money from it, it's basically free money. I mean it's been like over 6 years and no one can get the cait sith minion or the primogs or other such minions such as wind up tsukuyomi or special pre-order songs. I mean it's been a long time so you should at least start putting some on the mog station. I know many people who want wind up cait sith minion but can't get it because they weren't around for 2.0

so I think that putting preorder minions and songs and whatnot on the mogstation is a good idea.

While the Primogs can no longer be obtained in the Before the Fall OST, you can still get the Wind-up Tsukuyomi by purchasing the Stormblood OST. To my knowledge, the “first press only” doesn’t really limit the codes—and the code for that minion doesn’t expire. I’ve ordered OSTs well after their release dates and still received the minion codes for them.

pre-order exclusives are rewards for doing the pre-order on time. if you missed the pre-order why should you still be able to get it?

because there should not be things that are "only" pre order in a game like this, they should be buyable on the mogstation after a while. especially something like cait sith minion which was only preorder for 2.0.

I have the pre order items and I don't really have anything against it if they become mogstation items after some time.

They're as much a badge of honor as the Legacy items or titles or any other achievement though. They say, definitively, that the person who acquired them was there at the beginning and thus have a certain amount of bragging rights. That's generally how anything limited time or hard to get rolls.

Now, I wouldn't specifically object to a VERSION of those minions being available after a while. Like the Nimbus mount now on the mog station. It's not my Cumulus, but it's close enough that the folks who didn't participate in the promotion can still enjoy it. So while I don't think anyone but those of us who pre-ordered ARR should have Cait Sith, I wouldn't mind if they put his girlfriend up on the mog station or something.

can't get everything you want - the longer the game goes on for tho the more we're going to see this come up again and again. game is like 15 years old and still going - I just started yesterday why can't i get every mount/minion/glam since launch! i demand satisfaction! /s

Then encourage SE to stop offering exclusive rewards. But you'll get a substantial part of the player base disagreeing with. Some people believe that there should be exclusives.

If something was marketed as an exclusive to a limited time offer to get people to buy during that time period, they could have legal/financial trouble if they change their mind after the fact and not make it exclusive after all. Personally, I don't recall the marketing materials well enough to remember if the items were marketed as exclusive to SB pre-orders or if they were merely marketed as items that those pre-ordering would receive but I'm certain the information is archived out there somewhere.

You need to learn you're going to miss out on stuff in life. We can't have everything we want.
