btw: NEVER format a SSD, trust me...if you do, throw it away and get a new one because you cannot undo the damage...Windows 7 does't need to see a formatted SSD...optimally just plug and play...Windows 7 sees SSD as RAM...you don't format RAM do you?
Ouch lol Never read that before but thanks for the heads up Mhati!

    Chassis: Cooler Master HAF-932
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
    Processor: Intel i7-960 @ 3.2 Ghz
    Motherboard: Asus P6TD Deluxe
    Memory: OCZ Gold 1333 Mhz @ 9-9-9-20 1.65V 8GB
GPU: 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250
HD: Western Digital Caviar Black 3GB/s 2TB
    Optical: Plextor B320SA 8X BD/R
    Monitor: Sylvania LC220SS1 60hz
Mouse: Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX (Amazingly smooth and durable mouse)
Keyboard: Logitech Illuminated Keyboard (Sucks hardcore... can't wait to get a good gaming keyboard)

Anywho, that's what I got. Lookin' forward to uppin' the ram to 12 GB+, then new graphics cards, a new keyboard, then maybe a new processor down the road.

This comp wasn't designed with gaming in mind though. This here is the powerhouse that is the heart of my home studio. Having a rig like this is great for runnin' multiple adobe products, recording software, and other ram/cpu intensive programs. Pretty good for gamin' though too. Gotta 4973 Low Res benchmark for XIV ^^

I run XIV pretty much full on max 'cept Standard Drawing Quality and No ambient Occlusion.

the g19 is nice, but i have to say i absolutely love my zboard. it is an older board and have to get it online because of its age, but i love it for fps games because of the interchangable keyboard with the big wasd buttons for movement. each person has their own opinions, but i have owned a few of these and will own them until they finally stop selling them.

ok, now we have something, read the link you posted

Originally, thought to be a PS3 exclusive, Final Fantasy XIV will in fact be making an appearance on the PC. The developers delve into this a bit, mentioning Crystal Tools, a development platform that will also be used for Final Fantasy XIII and is designed to allow them to port more smoothly to multiple systems. In regards to the PC version, the game will utilize the most current version of Direct X that is out when beta testing begins. This goes for Operating System as well. Similarly, they do not specify Vista or Windows 7 as an operating system, saying again that it will depend on what is out at the time. For those of you looking to prep a new PC, Tanaka claims they are really looking to get on the cutting edge of technology with this installment. Like Final Fantasy XI, the game specs will be extremely high for the time, but in about 5 years, an average machine can run it on max settings with little to no issues. Tanaka also expressed interest in making a benchmark program available.
doesn't discount what I said, patches for PC users

I am truly amazed by the Core2 Duo's lol I don't think Intel had intended to build such an awesome future proof chip. Those things are beasts!

no there is more that i have read where tanaka directly said there will have to be graphic reductions to play on the ps3 version because the game is being designed to run on windows first which is why it is being released first, but that the graphic reductions would be mildly noticable. the game is beng made to run with a console gamepad, but computer graphics because the gamepad is more responsive for players, but the pc's have a more powerful graphic systems. he directly said that the game would be made to run as a port off the pc platform not as its own for the ps3. you are fighting over no reason because even though the ps3 is not as powerful as a high end computer does not make it bad at all. the game will just not be quite as good of graphics as the pc is.

it is now after 2am in the morning so i am headed to bed, but will try to find the other interviews later. if you really want to check at the limitations the ps3 has you are welcome to look them up because they are not too hard to find.

@Mhati The post dark posted was not the one I had in mind, there is a much clearer article that they directly say they need to reduce FFXIV for the PS3.

I am only going to say this once, please keep in mind that this thread is about sharing Rigs and the Settings, and discussions around it. Mhati, Dark and I are going way off-topic and if this is not stopping I will unsubscribe.
