NQ Only Quick Synth

I as well as most crafters I know keep components on our retainers such as lumber, leathers, ect to minimize the space used. The gathering skill, Pick Clean, is an amazing addition to the game and quite possibly my favorite skill implemented for gathering since ARR. That being said, it would be amazing if we could have the option to make quick synth only give normal quality items, as well as thematically appropriate.

Are you thinking this would give us more items per craft in the same way pick clean does? Because if not, it's easy enough to just lower the quality on your crafts to NQ and combine the stacks?

I don't see him asking for increased yield, only the option to only get NQ. I think the Pick Clean reference is to how it guarantees only NQ items are received.

I doubt it's something SE would do since it's so easy to lower quality. Personally, I keep any NQ items I get then sell off the HQ to those who will pay a premium to get HQ.

As for thematically appropriate, I don't see a connection. Even when making batches of something in real life, a few of the results usually have superior shape/color/texture/etc.
