No easy go for PvP... in PvP only one thing counts and that is to win so you need to put in an effort, to get the big ticks towards achievements and more.
I have it on 7 character lol
why do you think youre entitled to something only the best of the best should be able to obtain? Yoshi stated not long ago at the Korean games com that there should be and will be things the average player cant get. He went on to talk about how easy the Ultimates are being cleared because of 3rd party tools people use to help them because they cant complete it.I think this is a problem, but not in the sense of it being too much or too little work. What I don't like about the PvP achievements is they specifically emphasize coming in first place.
The frontline UI, rewards, and achievements, emphasize who ever got first. Of course who ever got first place should be rewarded more (and you still get more for second than third does), though the fact it is not the same as saying x team won or y team lost and the teams are ranked has different implications. To that end, in the future, I should like if they changed the way achievements work to help better usher players towards a healthier mindset while rewarding their efforts. Like, for example, if first place counted as two wins, and second place counted as one. Thus the team who gets first still is rewarded more as they should be, but it better reflects the less granular state of winning or losing frontlines, without getting into some kind of personalized performance reward system.
Expect more of this type of stuff you wont be able to get. You shouldnt feel entitled all the items.

This is most likely the thing. Lots of people who play literally think they should have everything just because they exist. Lmfao some people are asking for a console command to spawn anything they want. Lmfao
this reads like "winning shouldnt matter, Everyone should get everything no matter what!!"I completely agree that whoever wins gets a bigger reward than everyone else, I guess nobody doubts that.
But in general, competitions with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place all have a medal system, not to diminish the work of the winners which is undoubtful, but also to praise the effort of those who go in and work hard. Sometimes, the match is decided in the last minute and it's neck to neck between all GC's.
I find it unjust to prize something only based on 1st position and back a juicy reward behind it. A medal system would be more fairer as those who perform outstanding will still get it earlier than everybody else, while the people who have less 1st positions will know that their effort will still get the prize on the longer term. I think it's fairer this way
Non ultra high end PvE works like that, and I would not qualify Frontlines PvP as ultra high end PvP(Ranked Feast is there for such reason).
In any case, thanks everybody for the advice. I'll try to be more patient and await for my mount that will probably arrive some time around 6.0 :P
Its like telling someone who won a bike race they dont get something special because its not fair to everyone else. Lmfao entitlement
Just pretend It doesn't exist. I just go in and drop bahamut to get my roulette xp. One day, before l know it, l got field commander's coat... Which doesn't even look that great to me, lol
I got my final PvP Mount the other day, there is only one way and that is the hard way, it also means you, yourself need to get good at the PvP game, because your vote in the ballot count as well for the end result.Hello everyone,
I am a casual PvP player, who always likes to pop in each day for the Daily Roulette. I really enjoy playing it every day and I try to do my best. Unfortunately, my FC members are not very much into it.
However, with this new achievement and it's fancy mount attached to it, I think PvP is starting to be less appealing to me.
Every day I do my best to try to get a win out, but it is getting very hard to achieve. I am lucky if I manage to secure at least one victory. On weekends, I may be able to play slightly more. During the week, I am lucky if I have time for the daily Frontline.
I don't think I'm a bad player, not the best one either, I would consider myself average. But I've never one 100 games in Frontline before, and I doubt I will get this achievement. But I really fancy getting that mount and most of the times you lose due to other players ( as said, I'm not a great player, but I understand enough to know how to win, I think) which is not nice at all.
Shouldn't the mount be tied to a participation achievement (Do Onsal Hakair 200-300 times say)? At least you know you can get a reward for playing this and not loosing the desire to play PvP.
It probably sounds like a rant, and you could be right. But after a couple of victories only, after 10 games, I think I needed to put something up on this board to relieve some tension. ^^'
Auryn.
I don't buy what you are saying here and no top tier reward should be giving for losing in FL or CC.
There is only one winning team in PvP and that is how it is and how it should be and second and third place not counting.
Pull yourself together if you want this, and also then you need to put in the effort as well, or don't take part in it at all.
There's no need for change, these are essentially just -lackluster- vanity rewards meant to be grinded or acquired as a side endeavor. They even added the onsal mount as a recolor. And a tri-faction pvp mode evens out the odds perfectly already, which makes it very predictable.Having earned most the frontline achievements myself (I've earned all 3 gc horses, 2 of the 3 orbs and the robo suit) I think the most frustrating part is the fact that FL has 3 teams. While I have a lot of issues in general with that as a pvp format, as far as the achievements are concerned i think there's a decent fix that could makes things feel better without trivializing the achievements.
So first make the required wins for each achievement doubled (be patient I promise I'm not trolling) so instead of the horse needing 100 it takes 200.
Now change what counts as a "victory" so that winning 1st place gives you 2 "wins" as far as achievement progress goes, 2nd gives you 1 "win, and 3rd still gives 0.
This way the fastest potential number of matches to get the achievement is still the same. (2/200 = 1/100)
BUT now there's also a level on consolation for getting 2nd. If you're not getting first it will take at least twice as long but you won't suffer as much on those rough days where you have 10 2nd places games but no 1st place matches.
And since 3rd place still gives 0 it will discourage players from "speed losing" to try and farm achieve progress cause you'll still have to actually play and try to get at least 2nd.
