troll thread but I just can't be asked to read anything from limsa tbh. it it's just irritating to read but if it was voice, I think it'll be easier....a little.

Why? He isn't difficult to understand.
Sure, a few of the words he use may not be clear in their meaning without looking them up, but the general gist of anything Jacke (or the other members of the Rougue's Guild) says is pretty easy to figure out.
You must not read too many books. At least ones that don't use modern speech, but even ones that do, authors, especially novelists are known to stretch out their own vocabularies so the adjectives they use to describe situations and emotions don't become hackneyed and stale.
I know most of your posts have been troll-ish, but this one actually has some merit. Not that the speech used is difficult to comprehend, but I can definitely acknowledge that the game does use fancy words that are far from being common. It does help with the immersion, but I will also say that people who do a lot of reading and writing used to carry around dictionaries as part of their book luggage for the exact reason you pointed out. They are now apps on our phones, so no need to add extra pounds were it is not necessary xD.
I bet your brain blew up when Neo talks to the Architect in the Matrix lol
No sure what you mean by this. English is my second language and I don't read books. That stuff is in the past but maybe i'm just getting old.You must not read too many books. But I would look up a word I don't know however.

That's why I use the japanese dub. It's so odd that I can understand better what I hear even though it's not my main language than what I read.
Thankfully, the over the top "ye ole' english" characters are actually far and few in between so it's not too bad.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Japanese doesn't typically have "big words". English might have 40 different words to say "strong" because English is a composite of Old French, Germanic, Latin, and Greek. Japanese has some Chinese roots in it. Typically most languages have a few words for the same thing, but English is different. For example, going with puissant (which means strong), we have:
Strong
Forceful
Puissant
Robust
Vigorous
Mighty
Tenacious
Energetic
Stalwart
etc

As a romance language speaker, I dare say English is not exclusive in 40 different words for the same "meaning". But this comes mostly to languages which have been adapted by various cultures. The major difference is how the culture of the time adapts words and their meaning.
Words lose relevance with time and some of them are perceived as outdated or strange.

Those words have different connotations, though. You can be strong, but not forceful. That's why different words exist that may overlap in some meaning in order to (hopefully) clarify the actual meaning. Having just one word to describe any concept would be too limiting as a form of expression.Japanese doesn't typically have "big words". In the same way, I think the Japanese language also has its own way to say the same thing (or similar things) in multiple ways. I think all language does, in some way, to facilitate better communication.
