Is it more important to stick it to someone and waste your own time, or just get rid of them and get on with it?

Yeah. Odd considering how frowned upon it is to waste the group's time in other ways, such as doing abysmal dps.

If you stop kicking them they will stop using this trick to avoid the penalty timer and they will stop wasting your time in the long run.
