Leaving to get kicked

Similar to a common issue with fighting games; people intentionally disconnecting in a fight they're losing to avoid taking the loss. It's never been solved there and it won't be solved here; there's no way to tell if a disconnect is intentional or not.

I mean, this game could do something similar to what fighting games do and flag people who disconnect early a disproportionately large percent of the time, then give people the option to filter out these droppers when they queue.

Wow OP this is petty. The vote kick benefits everybody with difference in play style. Of course going afk is a douche move if its done intentionally which theres no way of knowing for sure. I don't see your point of further penalizing them because you don't want kick. I mean you are holding someone else who could take there spot that wants to the dungeon.

Not kicking for the purpose of slowing a dungeon run down because said offender is afk is ridiculous. On top of that you assume its because of arguing over job stuff. Tank not tanking or healer just dpsing etc...

I have been in this situation before as healer and the tank went afk we continued until the time allotted to kick came up and votekicked and got new tank within 5 minutes and went to clear dungeon.

By your suggestion we should ve not kicked taken much longer to clear dungeon and face possible wipes with no tank. That in itself is a penalty to me.

Use votekick that s what it is there for.

Can't believe people are actually advocating for giving the people who do this what they want. Yes, let's just encourage behavior that exploits the game and wastes everyone's time, surely that will reduce how much this happens!

Yeah. Odd considering how frowned upon it is to waste the group's time in other ways, such as doing abysmal dps.

If you stop kicking them they will stop using this trick to avoid the penalty timer and they will stop wasting your time in the long run.

Or they'll keep doing it to get a cheap laugh knowing they've wasted an entire party's time.

This is about offline people, not afk. You can already report players for refusing to play. I've done it a couple of times and those players quickly decided they weren't too busy to play after all.
