    Leaving to get kicked

So exactly as the title says, I see this a lot, healers and tanks getting into it, then one of them "disconnects" so that they get kicked to avoid the 30min penalty, is there anything to do to stop this obvious abuse of in-game systems to circumvent their punishment for refusing to finish a dungeon?

You can report them but otherwise, no. There is nothing else that can be done, unfortunately.

maybe if they add 15 minute penalty when you get kicked might help some.

Just kick them if they're asking to be kicked. What's the problem?

Sure, so if two friends that queue together decide to be trolls and randomly kick someone for their amusement or to let a friend join at the end of the dungeon, the kicked player will also have to wait 15 additional minutes before they can use the DF again.

Honestly.. if they disconnect, wait a minute to see if they come back.. if they don't, just kick them and move on with your day. You don't need to find some way to stick it to them when you're still going to have to find someone new to fill the spot anyway.
Is it annoying? Sure, but people need to quit looking for ways to punish people for something that costs them at most 2min of inconvenience.

Isn't there a 5 minute kick limit at the start of a dungeon? When 3 people have to wait that much it costs a total of 15 minutes of their time. There is no excuse to do that.

That's not what happens in practice. If someone disconnects purposefully in order to get kicked, it's probably because something isn't going well and he/she wants to run the duty with a different party. Those 5 minutes would've already passed at that point.

Well, technically you can report them.

However, there is no guarantee the player will be punished, as there almost no way to proof that they disconnected exactly because they wanted to being kicked and not because their internet suddenly died, which happens fairly more often than intentional disconnections.

In conclusion: kick them from the party and move on.

If the group wants to be vindictive and the 3 of you are skilled enough, then you could 3 man the dungeon. If the healer is on point, every dungeon can be cleared without a tank. If the tank has enough sustain and the dps are good enough, then each dungeon can be done without a healer. If they come back you force them to either take the penalty(if they actually ask for a kick to avoid the penalty then its reportable), or to fake another disconnect. You can either do the whole dungeon with them held captive, or you can kick them just before the final boss so they for sure dont get credit for anything.

Or just, you know, kick them(potentially blacklist/report depending on exactly what happened over chat) replace them and move on with your day.

Not everyone has a stable internet connection. Before you judge others, perhaps consider how low income players are often subject to lag spikes, random disconnections often at the worst timings? Kicking people just because they disconnected is indirectly discriminating against low income, poor connection players.
