People cherry pick them right now anyway since Prae gives a ton more exp than CM. But I agree, this "solution" would just give people all the more reason to do it.Any solution that allows cutscene skipping SOMETIMES (players vote on it, or it's enabled if all players already have the win, or whatever) is going to result in players cherry-picking their Roulette. Drop in - are cutscenes skipping? If not, abandon instance, go watch Youtube or something during the half-hour delay, sign up again, and repeat until they get a cutscene-free run. And that's assuming that players are disallowed from forcing those conditions by forming their own party rather than letting the Roulette pick their party.
As much as I dislike it, SE did pretty well in making the custcenes universal, and ramping up the rewards to compensate. It's impossible to pressure or harass newbies, because you get the same treatment whether they're there or not. (Well, not impossible; some folks are simply incorrigible.) The dungeons were flawed in design from the start; anything a dev expects you to grind should not have numerous, long cutscenes. Thankfully, SE learned from this early mistake, and hasn't repeated it. We we have now is a band-aid on an old problem.
I, personally, think there's a fair chance SE may eventually allow Trusts to assist with MSQ dungeons, allowing newbies to solo them without trouble. When this happens, what will happen to MSQ Roulette? It may stick around - but if they make the cutscenes skippable again, be prepared for a drastic drop in the rewards offered. They're there precisely to compensate for the obnoxiousness of the cutscenes.
