Skip should be an option only if EVERYONE has already done that Duty before. Giving an option to skip without actually considering first timers will make things even worse than it used to be

No, it doesn't. Just wait until a single cutscene ends, then vote kick anyone who doesn't want to skip

As other people already said, the current rewards for those Duties and it's roulette exist because you can skip cutscenes. Adding the option will, for sure, reduce them, and no one will like that.

No, it doesn't. Just wait until a single cutscene ends, then vote kick anyone who doesn't want to skip

So then does the duty never give bonus exp then, or only give bonus exp if someone new is there, and the cutscenes can't be skipped? Because I can tell you how this would work for me. If no one is new, I leave and take the 30 minute penalty, as no bonus exp is going to be received, rendering the duty pointless for me. If the EXP bonus is gone even with people new to the duty: I stop doing the MSQ roulette.

I say turn it into solo duty.

MSQ roullete giving the highest reward means that that chunk of EXP will be deducted from other duties that would actually be "fun" and matter to the game. By letting player level all their jobs only with MSQ Roullete EXP means that the other leveling parts of the game will suffer. Things like Deep Dungeon and Leveling dungeons.

The whole effort to turn the overword pointless just to make players desire instanced content is gone if all they need to do is MSQ roullete once a day until they level everything. This is the worst design I've ever seen from a logical perspective.

If it's not fun, there's something wrong. I thought they said that they've learnt it.

As someone stated earlier, the MSQ roulette is for new people who need to do it for their MSQ - not for veterans (but you as a veteran get a very big chunk of xp as a reward for doing it).

Before when you could skip the cut scenes, if you were new you had two choices, 1) skip the cut scene so you could participate in the fights or 2) watch the cut scenes and miss the actual fights because the rest of the group wouldn't wait for you and/or yell at you and possibly kick you for not skipping the cut scenes.

SE was tired of new people who were going through the MSQ for the first time having to make those choices. So SE decided to make them unskippable (which I believe was also a suggestion on this forum) and then boosted the xp significantly to make it worth queuing up for the MSQ roulette for veterans.

This is working as intended. If you don't want to sit through the entire dungeon and all cs then don't do the roulette. Yes sometimes there isn't a new person there, but that's just how the roulette works. Maybe in 5.3 SE will be adjusting these two MSQ dungeons - guess we'll have to see.

Still, even if they did this then people will likely just start abandoning when they see a new player in the raid. There's really no way to do this that doesn't go against the entire purpose of the MSQ roulette in the first place.

Making it a solo duty is probably the best option if people REALLY have such a big problem with how it is now, but I've liked having the MSQ roulette to help me level characters and farm poetics. Maybe we should just suck it up and watch the cutscenes, or get a snack during them.

I mean, people already abandon those two Duties anyway (mainly Castrum Meridianum). I've joined to many Party in Progress runs in both places where like half the party left. But, indeed, some assholes will go for sure if the Skip option is not available for them at the begining, but at least this is better than kicking first timers, since others may join (not like you even require a full party to finish them, unless all 8 people are ilvl 50)

The best option right now is to leave things as they are. New players can watch the cutscenes without having to concern themselves with it being "their fault" the raid is moving so slow. Everyone understands what they're getting into when they queue, and that finding a PUG without new players won't make things go any faster.

Maybe some people are willing to eat the abandon if they get the one that's worth less exp, but that's not significant enough to be a real issue.

I really don't see the big deal. It's still way more efficient than pretty much every other way to level and farm poetics. Losing this roulette would hurt veteran players more than help, and SE OBVIOUSLY isn't going to let us reap the same rewards while avoiding or pressuring new players to skip.
